Team Summary
Visa’s Value-Added Services (VAS) team drives growth by delivering innovative solutions that go beyond core payments. We help clients accelerate sales, optimize pricing, and enhance performance through advanced deal governance, commercial insights, and tailored strategies. With over 200+ solutions aligned to Visa’s global vision, VAS strengthens client relationships and differentiates Visa in the marketplace by making our products easier to buy and sell while ensuring world-class execution.
This role reports to the SVP, Head of VAS, JKM and the Group Country Manager, Japan, Korea & Mongolia. The role is a critical component of the AP VAS and JKM leadership teams.
What a VP, Head of Value-Added Services, JKM does at Visa:
- Develop and execute VAS strategy for Japan.
- Lead and manage in-market VAS teams.
- Drive commercial capabilities across Issuer, Acceptance, and Risk & Identity Solutions.
- Own VAS sales pipeline and deliver quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Monitor and report VAS deployment and sales performance.
- Increase client adoption of VAS solutions and capture customer feedback.
- Act as a key member of Japan market management and AP VAS leadership.
- Collaborate with deployment channels for clear execution plans.
- Partner with regional VAS leaders to optimize specialized seller deployment.
- Align Sales, Product, and CS teams with future solution roadmaps.
- Oversee client deals to ensure VAS integration and execution.
- Support growth through stand-alone VAS deals and reseller partnerships.
- Lead sales team performance, development, and cohesion.
- Deploy resources strategically for revenue growth.
- Ensure sales engagements are supported by product expertise.
- Implement consistent sales processes and best practices.
- Build team product knowledge to demonstrate value to clients.
- Drive sales initiatives, monitor pipeline, and forecast accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on GTM, enablement, and client materials.
- Ensure smooth handoff to Client Services and capture feedback for product evolution.

Qualifications
What you will need:
- 15-20 years of progressively responsible business experience with 10+ years’ experience at an executive level in the payments industry.
- Demonstrated ability to work with large, cross-functional (e.g. product, sales, strategy, marketing) and cross-regional teams.
- Manage close working partnerships with Visa stakeholders in each market/region – Group Country Managers, Client Relationship Managers, Heads of Product, Risk, Corporate Relations, Legal, Interchange, etc.
- Collaborate closely with regional leadership and global Product to ensure the regions product requirements are clearly understood and delivered.
- Partner closely with regional and global Sales support functions – including Go-to-Market, Sales Enablement and Sales Operations – to adhere to best practices in making Visa Products easy to buy and easy to sell.
- Partner with local Sales Engineering teams to inform detailed development and delivery of customer-centric Seller solutions.
- Work with local and global Product teams to improve the go-to-market strategy, define the right value proposition, and construct to meet client needs.
- Work with regional GTM and Global Sales Enablement and Marketing to ensure our client facing materials are fit-for-purpose and help accelerate the learning and sales process.
- Work with Legal to ensure client contracts drive successful outcomes for both Visa and our clients.
- Work with Client Delivery and Client Services to handoff the sale to implementation and ensure well-run projects.
- Facilitate the capture and communication of client feedback on products and value-added services to inform product evolution.
