The Opportunity: 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and flexible ServiceNow Developer with 6+ years of experience to join our dynamic technology team. The ideal candidate is passionate about exploring the tech world both within and outside ServiceNow, thrives in a challenging environment, and is eager to expand their programming skills in Python, C# (.Net), and beyond. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to ServiceNow development and integrations, and have opportunities to learn and grow across the technology stack.   

Essential Functions:

  • Lead architecture, design, and hands-on development of ServiceNow solutions, including ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, SecOps, GRC, and custom applications.
  • Gather, analyze, and translate business and technical requirements into effective ServiceNow solutions.
  • Create and implement workflows, business rules, client scripts, user interface policies, and manage data imports within the ServiceNow platform
  • Assist with integrating ServiceNow and other systems by using REST and SOAP APIs, as well as programming in JavaScript, Python, C Sharp, and/or full stack technologies
  • Work closely with business analysts and senior developers to collect requirements and convert them into efficient ServiceNow solutions
  • Troubleshoot ServiceNow issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop long term solutions
  • Keep up to date with new ServiceNow releases, features, and industry developments, and suggest improvements where appropriate
  • Stay current with ServiceNow releases, new features, industry trends, and actively recommend enhancements and optimizations.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation while following platform best practices
  • Take part in project meetings, Agile and Scrum sessions, and regularly update project managers and leadership on progress
  • Show a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies outside of ServiceNow when needed.

The Skills You Bring:

  • Platform Expertise: Solid understanding of ServiceNow core modules and foundational platform administration capabilities.
  • Integration Specialist: Knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs, integration best practices, and effective scripting techniques.
  • Problem Solver: Strong analytical thinking and decision‑making skills, with the ability to take on new challenges and develop practical, efficient solutions.
  • Communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and build strong interpersonal relationships.
  • Certified Professional: ServiceNow CSA and CAD certified.
  • ITSM Exposure: Experience with additional IT Service Management tools or cloud‑based platforms.
  • Agile Collaborator: Exposure to Agile and Scrum methodologies, along with familiarity with project management best practices.
  • Versatile Learner: Knowledge of additional scripting and programming languages or development frameworks, bringing added adaptability and value.
  • Full‑Stack Mindset: Strong proficiency in JavaScript with hands‑on full‑stack development experience, complemented by familiarity with Python, C#, or other modern programming languages.
  • We do not expect that any single candidate would fulfill all of these characteristics. For instance, we have exciting team members who are really focused on building scalable systems but didn’t work with payments technology or web applications before joining Visa

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager. 


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:
3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
A minimum of six years of professional experience combined with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience, supported by both a Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Technology.
