Community Guilds (Employee Resource Groups) at Datadog formally launched two years ago, but the affinity groups were established long before. In this talk, Ali Vannier, Manager, Recruiting at Datadog, will dive into their experience of joining Datadog and the Rainbowdogs affinity group as an individual contributor and their journey to now being the Co-Lead of the formal Community Guild.

Bridget FinkeldeyAli has been working in Technical Recruiting for 10 years across various recruiting ecosystems, including consultancy work, early stage startup, tech giant, and unicorn organizations. Ali joined Datadog in 2019, pre-IPO, and has been part of scaling the company from 800 to 5,000 employees. Over the last 4 years, their latest journey has been moving into a people manager role as well as a Co-Lead for one of Datadog's ERGs, Rainbowdogs.
