Conducts stress, fracture and fatigue structural analysis of aerospace components. Performs structural analysis nature using conventional hand analysis and/ computer analysis.
Develops and documents structural test efforts to assess structural integrity of metallic and non-metallic aerospace products.
Works to design parameters to access the structural integrity of metallic and non-metallic aerospace component parts.
Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of basic scope and complexity.
Uses and validates Continuous Improvement tools to solve problems.
Expresses problems, issues, and opportunities to peers, supervision and leadership.
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
Experience in classical hand analysis methods used in aerospace applications, along with Finite Element Analysis Tools such as NASTRAN & PATRAN or similar software applications.
Experience in aircraft structural components static, durability, damage tolerance.
Experience in a product development teams with engine / airframe companies highly desired.
Strong background in structural analysis related to aircraft.
Strong understanding of load paths and various aspects of airframe design using metals and composite materials.
MRB engineering experience highly desirable.
Strong technical writing and PC skills with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to work closely as a team with other international locations.
Candidates must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Candidates must have a current travel visa to enter the USA for training and event attendance purposes.
Material properties and behavior (Composite & Metallic) or structural testing experience desirable.
