Job Purpose

The Engineering team designs, builds and delivers systems that fuel fast charging of electric vehicles, energy services and AI that will monitor and drive energy optimization, helping our customers reduce their operating expenses. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Site Reliability Engineering Manager to lead a team focused on delivering the highest quality service experience to our customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
As a Site Reliability Engineering Manager for the Cloud Monitoring team, you will work to design, build and lead the team to improve the reliability and performance of software systems that provide access to services and infrastructure to enable optimization of site performance by delivering the best value from their assets.
As a Site Reliability Engineering manager, you will be leading a team responsible for providing the platform for mission-critical services to maintain constant uptime, scale seamlessly, and allow for new applications and services to thrive. The SRE Manager will not only support operations but also collaborate with the developers and architects within the team to aid in the design and assist with the implementation to improve stability, security and scalability.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of handling grid services (Behind the meter or Front of the meter), renewable energy, or large power systems through digital platforms,
- Experience with Cloud Computing technologies
- Experience and confidence around incident response and incident management
- Practical experience in Python, Linux and Microsoft Azure Cloud Computing Services
- Acute aim to automate manual operations and to improve them through repeated iteration
- Strong sense of ownership and integrity demonstrated through clear communication and collaboration
- 3+ years professional experience in an engineering leadership position
- Comfortable with Open Source configuration management and orchestration
- Anticipating and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders
- Desire to build, grow, and mentor a team to meet both their career goals and the organization's goals
- Experience with hiring and leading engineers
