PowerToFly was founded by Milena Berry and Katharine Zaleski to fast-track economic equity by upskilling and connecting underrepresented talent to roles in highly visible sectors.
We achieve our mission daily through connecting diverse talent to free live virtual events with decision makers from companies, whether they're looking to change their career or they’re happy in their current role. We also feature upskilling content and host summits with industry leaders creating diverse, inclusive and equitable workplaces.
We are women-led, intersectional and focus on empowering underrepresented talent across all races, ages, ethnicities, sexual orientations, abilities, veteran statuses and gender identities. We welcome allies.
Our values reinforce our mission and vision. They set out how we work and what we want our community to feel. Our daily actions demonstrate whether we are living these values at PowerToFly. We hold ourselves accountable and welcome people outside our company to do the same so that we learn and improve through continuous feedback.
Our fully remote, global team is the core reason for our growing business. We can only be successful if all types of individuals are heard and valued, whether you're interning with us, running a large team at a Fortune 500 or you’re looking for a new role across the ocean. We hire the best from all over the world and provide the support and compensation needed to thrive in their location.
Here, everyone is treated equally and exceptionally, no matter who you are or where you come from. Whether you are a woman looking to enhance your career or a decision maker at a multinational corporation looking to diversify your team, you will be treated exceptionally. We listen, are present, build trust, communicate regularly to understand and deliver on the results you need. We expect that same treatment across our teams and from our clients and community.
We're optimistic that we can impact institutions that are long overdue for changing how they hire, retain and promote underrepresented talent. We share blueprints for success and relay feedback early and often, especially when companies try to leverage us for performative allyship. Unlike a social post, building diverse teams and retaining them is hard work that requires significant resources and intense feedback loops.
We said this earlier - it’s worth repeating here. We are women-led, intersectional and focus on empowering underrepresented talent across all races, ages, ethnicities, sexual orientations, abilities, veteran statuses and gender identities. We believe that representation matters and want to help people from all backgrounds, regardless of how they identify, feel like they belong.
We believe in autonomy and accountability by fueling the growth mindset required to build the company as co-owners. Every full-time team member has unlimited PTO, and high-degrees of flexibility through permanent remote work so they can thrive anywhere in the world.
Our work is serious and it drives lasting impact throughout global communities. That doesn’t mean we can't show up as our most authentic selves and enjoy the journey. Building a platform with lasting impact requires levity, and pacing, to get through the toughest problems. We celebrate smart work, not endless tasks that lead to burnout.
