Position Overview
As an Intern in Autodesk Research’s AI Lab, you'll apply advanced machine learning techniques to help our customers create a better, safer, more sustainable world. You'll join a team of researchers, engineers, and industry domain experts working on projects that range from learning-based design systems, computer vision, graphics, robotics, human-computer interaction, sustainability, simulation, manufacturing, architectural design and construction.
We're passionate about making design tools to ensure design exploration (getting to alternative design solutions), design automation (getting to the finished design faster), and sustainable design (with less negative impact)
Autodesk's AI Lab is active in the wider research community, targeting publications at NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, and other top-tier conferences. We collaborate with top academic and industry labs, combining the best of an academic environment with product-driven research
Responsibilities
Work on an LLM-reasoning/alignment project as the leading contributor
Collaborate with other members of our AI lab
Aim to publish in top-tier ML conferences
Minimum Qualifications
Full-time student pursuing an MS or Ph.D. (preferred) in Computer Science or related fields
Broad understanding post-training efforts in LLMs, especially RL methods
Excellent Programming and software development skills
Proficient with python and ML frameworks and libraries, such as PyTorch, Hugging Face
Experience conducting research and publishing results
An excellent communicator and team player
Preferred Qualifications
Publications in LLM reasoning and alignment fields
Large model training/fine-tuning experience
About the Canada Intern Program
The 2025 Canada program runs for 12 weeks (May 5 – August 22). All internships are paid. As an intern, you will contribute to meaningful projects, be mentored by industry leaders, and participate in tech talks and other activities designed to support your personal and professional development.
