We are seeking a highly motivated software engineer. You will be a part of development team for Nokia’s high-complexity, high-scale Session Border Controller (SBC) product.
You will be part of the Core Network and Service IP Telephony (IPT) R&D organization responsible for developing and maintaining the Nokia Session Border Controller (SBC). The SBC gives Service Providers economical and reliable means to secure and control media and signaling streams that cross the edges of the IMS network. Nokia SBC sits at the edge of the access networks to secure any type of IP accesses and deliver all IMS services. It also sits the edge of the peering networks to support roaming, IMS interconnection or corporate SIP trunking scenarios.
As part of our team, you will be handling functionality that is required for deployments across the world. The responsibilities of the role include testing of new software releases, report any defects, lead with development team to the resolution. The role also includes maitenance of test beds.
You need have strong interpersonal skills and a passion for learning. You need to have experience solving problems in an analytical and systematic way. You will need to be able to work independently but should also enjoy working together with the team. You are expected to be well-organized, prompt in your tasks and proud of your work.

- developing & maintaining test documentation (test plans, test strategies, test scripts)
Your skills and experience
- good analytical skills especially system robustness verification and validation
- good spoken and written English
- Linux environment knowledge
- testing automation knowledge
- coding skills will be very appreciated (e.g. python)
- telecommunication knowledge (e.g. SIP, LTE)
- IP network knowledge
- Knowledge about virtualization and cloud infrastructure
