Job Description

The US Marketing Services team, part of the North America Marketing organization, is transforming how we partner with clients to become the marketing partner of choice with our clients who include financial institutions, fintechs, merchants and processors.  The team continues to experience exceptional growth and to support this growth is introducing new marketing technology platforms and solutions for our clients to build sophisticated, class leading marketing programs. The Senior Manager, Operations and Business Affairs will report directly into the Vice President, North America Marketing Services Leader.  This is a high visibility, high exposure role the touches every area of NA Client Marketing Services as well as many others including, but not limited to, Globa Marketing, Services, Finances, VCA, Sales teams, etc.  The individual will be responsible for three critical areas:

  • Leading the development of content for high visibility internal and external executive meetings (deal pitches, RFPs, events, QBRs, monthly updates and more). Orchestrating across the North America Marketing Services Team to ensure key operational processes, timelines, and deliverables are met. Developing and executing a robust internal & external communications plan to position Marketing Services as an industry thought leader.
  • As a key member of the Marketing Services Team, the selected candidate will advance the strategy, vision, and go-to-market approach to help achieve the Marketing Services financial growth aspirations in the coming years. This role partners closely with Regional Client Marketing Teams, other Global Marketing Teams (Product Marketing, Sponsorship, Brand, Content, Insights & Analytics), Communications, Finance, Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA), among many other teams. This role requires an individual who can balance strategic thinking with detailed execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of content and narratives for high visibility external executive meetings, as requested by the Vice President. These may include, but are not limited to, things such as deal pitches, RFPs, industry events, and more.
  • Coordinate the development and completion of projects and initiatives across the NA CMS team Create a clear system to organize all strategic priorities across the North America Marketing Services Team and our partners to ensure that all reporting (QBRs, Outlooks, and other project timelines and deliverables are met, and routinely communicate updates, blockers, and more with the Vice President of NA Marketing Services.
  • Develop and coordinate a robust internal and external communications plan to position Marketing Services as a thought leader, including an editorial calendar, legally approved client-facing assets, channel strategy, and more.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of strategy and operations.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • 8 or more years of Financial Services or Payments industry experience
  • High degree of maturity and discretion as individual will be exposed to significant amount of confidential information.
  • Expert-level or advanced PowerPoint design and storytelling skills.
  • Excellent communication skills – both oral and written.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
  • Strong relationship-building experience, along with the ability to collaborate and work across regions and various business units to execute on a strategy and drive action.
  • Team Player – eagerness to work in teams with personnel of all levels and disciplines to accomplish objectives.
  • Creative imagination and big picture thinking that challenges the status quo.
  • Extremely organized with quick follow through and a bias towards action.
  • Personal presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior level executives.
  • Proven experience with at least one of the following disciplines: operations, storytelling, external communications, thought leadership development, content creation.
  • Consulting/Professional Services and/or Client Marketing experience a plus, but not required.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 153,700.00 to 246,200.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
