Job Description

Vestcom, an Avery Dennison Company Vestcom is the industry leader in shelf-edge technology and a proud subsidiary of Avery Dennison, a global leader in materials science. By joining our team, you gain the agility of a specialized industry leader backed by the global scale, benefits, and stability of Avery Dennison.

Why Join Avery Dennison? At Avery Dennison, we don’t just follow instructions; we solve problems. We are looking for a CNC Operator who acts as a "Technical Pilot"—someone with a "zero-defect" mindset and a deep curiosity for how things work. Here, you’ll have the autonomy to own your workstation and the support to grow your technical skills.

Shift & Compensation

  • 1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM (4-day work week! Enjoy 3 days off).

  • Benefits: Comprehensive medical, 401K matching, and paid time off starting Day 1.

Your Impact (Essential Duties)

  • Precision Machining: Set up and operate CNC Lathes and Vertical Machining Centers to create complex, high-tolerance parts.

  • Technical Troubleshooting: Use machine manuals, meters, and your own diagnostic skills to identify and fix issues.

  • Blueprint Mastery: Read and interpret complex blueprints to manufacture profiles involving radiuses, angles, and varied tangent points.

  • Continuous Improvement: Perform light maintenance and cleaning on your equipment to ensure peak performance and a safe environment.

  • Collaboration: Support plant-wide facility projects and assist team members across the shop as needed.

Qualifications

Who You Are (Qualifications)

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED required. A Technical Certificate or Associate’s Degree in CNC Machining is highly preferred.

  • Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on CNC experience or equivalent training.

  • Technical Skills: * Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and hand/power tools.

    • Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).

    • The "Plus" Factor: Familiarity or working knowledge of G-code is a significant advantage.

  • Physical Readiness: Ability to stand for 75% of the shift, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a loud manufacturing environment with appropriate PPE.

The Ideal Fit You are a proactive professional who works well under minimal supervision. You value Accountability and Curiosity, always looking for ways to improve a process rather than just finishing a task.

Additional Information

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status or other protected status.
