Skills and Competencies

  • 3–5+ years of experience in event management, experiential marketing, brand activations, or a creative agency environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage small to mid-sized experiences, with strong project coordination skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with experience collaborating with creative teams, internal stakeholders, and external vendors.
  • Strong aesthetic sensibility and commitment to brand, design, and experience quality, with comfort working from a creative brief to deliver memorable activations.
  • Experience leveraging event technology, collaboration software (e.g., Asana), reporting tools (e.g., PowerBI), and AI-enabled assistants to improve workflow efficiency and insights.
  • Comfort working from a creative brief and collaborating with SMEs, producers, content, and marketing teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities, while managing budgets, contracts, and vendor coordination.
  • Comfort working with event technology platforms, registration tools, and collaboration software
  • Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using tools like Copilot and ChatGPT to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions, including agentic AI systems, to solve business challenges.
  • Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree is required. 

Responsibilities

Support the planning and delivery of high-quality, on-brand event experiences and activations across the North America portfolio.

  • Support the end-to-end planning and delivery of regional events, from concept and creative brief translation through execution and post-event reporting.
  • Coordinate all event logistics including venues, production, vendors, catering, registration, and on-site execution to ensure a flawless and high-quality attendee journey.
  • Manage project timelines, track budgets, and proactively identify risks for assigned programs, serving as a key operational contact for partners and vendors.
  • Partner with brand, content, and creative teams to bring campaigns and narratives to life, ensuring all experiences are engaging, on-brand, and operationally sound.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics including attendance, engagement, and satisfaction, capturing feedback and insights to support continuous improvement.
  • Use digital tools, automation, and AI-enabled systems to streamline planning, reporting, communications, and data analysis.

About the team

This is not a traditional corporate events role. It is a creative, experience-driven position focused on delivering engaging, on-brand activations in a fast-moving, collaborative environment. The role sits within the New York events team and works closely with brand, marketing, content, communications, and external partners to ensure each experience delivers business value and a high-quality attendee journey. The Moody's Events-Senior Associate supports the planning, coordination, and delivery of experiences and activations across the North America portfolio, while contributing to larger regional and global programs.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $65,600.00 - $95,150.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
