Skills and Competencies

  • 8–12+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, or equity research, with demonstrated experience analyzing and interpreting enterprise‑level P&L performance and key financial drivers; 3-5 years of leadership / management experience
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Consolidated P&L management; scenario planning, financial modeling skills, including the ability to analyze and present financial performance on both reported and organic/inorganic bases, Cash flow forecasting, Incentive compensation / performance funding mechanics
  • Excellent communication across all levels of the organization (Business Units, Division, Corporate); ability to present confidently to Executive and/or Senior Leadership Team; ability to meet strict deadlines and work independently
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, notably Excel (including pivot tables) and PowerPoint; working knowledge of EPM platforms (OneStream) preferred
  • Strategic and analytical mindset with strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to operate independently under tight deadlines
  • Experience in a public company/ global, multi‑segment organization and exposure to executive‑level reporting, board materials, and earnings‑related analysis is preferred
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required
  • Advanced degree or professional certification (MBA, CPA, CFA) preferred

Responsibilities

This role provides enterprise‑wide financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis to support senior leadership, the Executive Leadership Team, and the Board.

  • Lead the end‑to‑end consolidation of the P&L across budget, forecast, and long‑range plans, ensuring alignment across business segments and functions
  • Partner with FP&A teams to develop a unified enterprise‑level financial view, synthesizing inputs and key business drivers
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Treasury, Tax, and People teams to reflect accounting changes, cash flow dynamics, tax considerations, and headcount movements in financial plans
  • Drive scenario, sensitivity, and bridge analysis to highlight key drivers, risks, and opportunities versus budget and forecast
  • Produce executive‑level reporting materials, including quarterly financial reviews and Board presentations, translating results into clear narratives
  • Manage consolidated month‑end P&L Flash reporting and variance analysis versus budget, forecast, and prior periods
  • Oversee enterprise incentive compensation funding analysis and prepare Compensation and Human Resources Committee materials
  • Support earnings preparation, SOX control activities, and the advancement of automation and efficiency across planning and forecasting processes

About the Team

The Corporate Planning team provides enterprise‑wide financial insight and governance, partnering with Finance leadership and business stakeholders to ensure financial plans, forecasts, and performance narratives accurately reflect business performance, strategic priorities, and key financial events.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $113,200.00 - $164,050.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
