We are looking for a Business Manager to lead our AuditWatch & TaxWatch teams. This person will be responsible for the quality and effectiveness of external facing training & consulting, meeting the implementation and ongoing training needs of clients.

About the Role

  • Build, develop and lead a highly effective and motivated work force with clearly defined mission and aligned objectives; Lead teams comprised of employees and contractors who develop content and deliver training and consulting services

  • Oversee content creation and management, ensuring regular updates for relevant industry and regulatory changes, and compliance with NASBA and IRS requirements

  • Develop departmental plans and establish long-term priorities for the business line, allocating resources and prioritizing tasks accordingly.

  • Design and execute customer conferences and events ensuring that the events incorporate innovative formats, engaging speakers and instructors, and provide necessary technical content. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and coordinate every aspect of these events, from logistics to content delivery, ensuring a seamless and impactful experience for all attendees.

  • Identify and develop new offerings to meet evolving customer needs by analyzing market trends, gathering feedback, and collaborating with various departments to create innovative and customized solutions that enhance the value and breadth of services provided.

  • Provide industry expertise and support for demos and product enhancements, directly contributing to sales growth and increasing revenue. Leverage technical knowledge and industry insights to ensure that offerings align with market needs and customer expectations, thereby driving successful sales outcomes and expanding the organization’s revenue.

  • Monitor customer experience, leveraging surveys and other tools to ensure training and consulting services exceed customer expectations

  • Create and implement tools, processes and working practices to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of staff, and to enable staff to deliver best in class service in a profitable manner

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers, fostering relationships with relevant third parties

  • Ensure that staff and contractors possess the necessary skills and knowledge to execute their responsibilities effectively, including adherence to licensing or qualification requirements.

  • Educate sales on offerings and processes through structured training and ongoing support 

  • Create and support scoping activities for custom training and consulting solutions for customers

  • Ensure that operational requirements, standards, and best practices are implemented effectively to provide sufficient support to customers and instructors during training sessions and events. Contribute to the continuous improvement and development of operational efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Manage the vendor payment process, including approving purchase orders and invoices for content providers and external presenters. Optimize the use of internal and external resources to manage costs effectively and maximize impact, ensuring prudent financial management and cost-saving efforts across business line.

  • Prepare financial reporting packages for business lines, including month-end reporting and forecasting.

  • Serve as a coach to multiple agile squads, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. Providing continuous support and expert advice, helping teams to navigate challenges, improve their processes, and deliver high-quality results that align with the organization's strategic objectives.

  • Lead selected key projects / activities and provide management bandwidth within the Organization.

  • Mentors more junior Team Leaders.

About You

  • CPA designation. Auditor experience prefered

  • Prior experience delivering both training and consulting to clients

  • Prior experience delivering internal skill based education (non-product based)

  • Proven ability to effectively manage resources that may or may not report directly to the position

  • Proven time management skills as it relates to managing deadlines and effectively communicating expectations

  • Strong verbal presentation skills

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Strong knowledge of the Thomson Reuters Audit products

The base compensation range varies across locations. For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $100,100 USD - $185,900 USD. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
