Role Descriptions & Responsibilities

The SOLIDWORKS Product Management team is responsible for the strategic direction for SOLIDWORKS product development. By evaluating customer needs, industry trends, functionality gaps and competitor's offerings, we develop the roadmap of projects for where SOLIDWORKS software will go in the future. This is not a static roadmap, but is constantly evolving, especially in the face of fast-moving advances in AI. Ultimately, the SOLIDWORKS Product Management team is responsible for shaping the portfolio and experiences that bring the SOLIDWORKS brand promise to life for all of our customers.

As a SOLIDWORKS Product Management Intern within the SOLIDWORKS R&D team, you will contribute to the evolution of next-generation AI, CAD and 3DEXPERIENCE Platform capabilities in the areas of product configuration and definition. Your main focus will be to support R&D Go-to-Market efforts for launching new SOLIDWORKS solutions. Some of your responsibilities will include the following:

·         Learn about and become an expert in current SOLIDWORKS capabilities on the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform focusing on product configurations

·         Lead AI development efforts by researching key areas where AI can be implemented to speed SOLIDWORKS customer adoption and product implementation, and then develop proof of concept prototypes and present them to the R&D team

·         Develop SOLIDWORKS solution demonstrations including scripts, videos and CAD model data sets for the Industrial Equipment and Home & Lifestyle industries

·         Develop training materials including step-by-step and best practices documentation

·         Perform market research for specific SOLIDWORKS products

·         Conduct in-depth competitive analysis including strengths and weaknesses vs. competitive products

Qualifications

·         Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field

·         Proficient in the use of SOLIDWORKS CAD software

·         Foundational knowledge of xDesign and the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform

·         Proficient in the use of AI and how it can be implemented to automate software workflows

·         Proficient in use of video capture editing software to aid in building training materials and demonstrations

·         Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and ability to work autonomously in a collaborative environment
