Expedia Group Activities Shopping Experience team is building outstanding experiences for travelers to plan, shop and book activities for their trip. We use personalisation and recommendations to help traveler discover and shop the experiences that suit their travel the most, and help them complete their itinerary. In this role, you will:

• Design, build, and ship robust, user-focused iOS features using approved patterns and frameworks, ensuring high-quality experiences across Expedia Group’s mobile products.
• Implement clean, testable Swift code, including system design (LLD), API design and integration, and data modeling that align with existing mobile and backend architectures.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to define technical approaches, make trade-offs, and iteratively deliver improvements across multiple services and domains.
• Own the operational excellence of your features by monitoring performance, addressing defects, and continuously improving the reliability, security, and maintainability of the iOS codebase.
• Safely integrate and operate AI/ML‑enabled solutions and AI-driven capabilities that improve customer outcomes, demonstrating familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products.
• Contribute to shared mobile engineering standards, reusable components, and best practices that enable fungibility across multiple domains and product surfaces.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field; or Equivalent related professional experience.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency in core iOS frameworks, UIKit and/or SwiftUI, asynchronous programming, and unit/UI testing frameworks, with a strong focus on code quality, maintainability, and operational excellence

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience designing end-to-end mobile solutions, including detailed low-level design, API contracts, and data modeling in partnership with backend and product teams.
• Proven success building and optimizing large-scale, customer-facing iOS applications, including performance tuning, observability, offline experiences, and advanced debugging.
• Demonstrated impact driving technical improvements in a mobile codebase (for example, architecture evolution, modularization, CI/CD, or tooling) to enhance reliability and developer productivity.
• Safely integrating and optimizing AI/ML‑enabled mobile experiences (such as recommendations, personalization, or assistive flows) with attention to privacy, security, and responsible use, including familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products
