Responsibilities

The Public Sector Partner Relationship Manager, Associate Director is responsible for developing, managing, and scaling Moody’s public‑sector partner relationships to drive channel‑led pipeline and revenue growth. This role focuses on commercial partnership execution, acting as the primary relationship owner for a portfolio of government partners including prime contractors, resellers, aggregators, and co‑sell partners.

Sitting within the Channel Sales Partnerships team, the Partner Relationship Manager works closely with Sales, Government Commercial Strategy, Partner Success, and Legal to ensure partners are strategically aligned, commercially effective, and actively contributing to government deal pursuits. The role is critical to expanding Moody’s reach into government markets through third‑party channels while maintaining focus, discipline, and performance accountability. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in public sector partner ecosystems, understands government procurement models, and excels at aligning internal teams with external partners to deliver mutual value.

  • Partner Relationship Management: Own senior-level relationships with partner leadership and key stakeholders. Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned partners, ensuring alignment on strategy, priorities, and joint objectives.
  • Manage Sales Activities: Oversee sales activities, pipelines, and client interactions to ensure accuracy and completeness. Drive partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline and revenue across government segments.
  • Manage Partnership Strategy: Set mutually agreed goals and enable revenue scale through effective partnership strategy management. Create and execute joint go-to-market plans, including account mapping, demand generation, and pursuit alignment.
  • Negotiate Agreements: Handle legal and financial agreements to support prioritized partner models.
  • Drive Field Sales Engagement: Engage Moody’s field sales with partners in co-sell, reseller, referral, and teaming models. Collaborate with sales teams to align partner engagement with direct sales efforts and government customer needs.
  • Conduct Business Planning: Lead business planning, product and sales training, marketing events, and demand generation activities.

About the Team
The Channel Sales Partnership team fuels Moody’s growth by collaborating with strategic co-sell and re-sell partners to expand our reach, accelerate sales, and deliver greater value to customers. Together, we create innovative go-to-market strategies that boost brand awareness, win rates, and market impact.
