DESCRIPTION
The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for planning and maintaining daily supply chain operations across one or more functional areas such as materials, production, inventory, logistics, customer service, demand management, or order fulfillment. This role ensures that internal and external customer expectations are consistently met by driving accurate planning signals, managing supply risks, and enabling efficient end-to-end supply chain performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement planning system strategies to improve planning signals across the supply chain.
- Execute daily operational planning processes within assigned functional areas.
- Monitor, analyze, and adjust planning system parameters to ensure alignment with business requirements.
- Use common processes, tools, and information systems to drive consistency and standardization.
- Analyze and interpret key supply chain performance indicators (KPIs) to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Identify potential supply chain failures and proactively mitigate risks through effective planning and corrective actions.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, including global suppliers, to deliver short-term tactical improvements.
- Utilize planning systems as the primary tool to drive consistent supply and demand signals across the supply chain.
- Participate in functional and cross-functional process improvement initiatives.
- Manage part change control activities, including obsolescence, supersessions, and new part releases, while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
- Apply Plan for Every Part (PFEP) principles to ensure right part, right quantity, right time, and right place across the end-to-end supply chain.
- Establish and maintain valid master supply or production schedules aligned with customer requirements and operational capacity.
- Use advanced planning tools and dashboards to support parts availability decisions, inventory optimization, and root cause analysis.

Functional & Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in Material Planning (must have).
- In-depth understanding of material availability and shortage management (must have).
- Experience working with global stakeholders and suppliers (must have).
- Inventory analytics and optimization (preferred).
- Allocation planning and constraint-based planning (preferred).
- ERP exposure such as Oracle or SAP (nice to have).
- Proficiency in materials planning systems and supporting tools (e.g., BI dashboards, Advanced Planning Command Centre, Excel, Access).

Experience
- 6–8 years of experience in Material Planning , preferably within Manufacturing and/or Global Capability Center (GCC) environments.
- Demonstrated experience in managing materials KPIs, inventory optimization, master scheduling, and supply-demand balancing in complex supply chains.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications
- College, university, or equivalent degree required.
- Engineering degree required; MBA in Supply Chain preferred.
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is an added advantage.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
