Job Description

The Global Pricing Strategy team at Visa is responsible for managing pricing with the objective of driving revenue growth across Visa’s network and accelerating adoption of Visa’s products and value-added services globally. Pricing is a critical strategic lever that translates innovation into market adoption, aligns incentives across the ecosystem, and enables Visa to execute consistently at global scale. The Pricing Strategy team provides pricing expertise and partners closely with cross-functional teams such as Product, Finance, Legal, Client Services, and others to support well-sequenced, analytically grounded, and executable pricing decisions that are consistent with overall strategic objectives.

The Senior Manager, Global Pricing Strategy will support or lead work streams on projects related to Visa Inc.'s pricing strategy and/or broader corporate initiatives. This role requires strong thought leadership, analytical rigor, and the ability to solve complex business problems, with increasing emphasis on improving decision quality, coordination, and execution readiness. This position is well suited for an AI-native a problem solver who brings curiosity, learning velocity, and a practical approach to using effectively leverages modern tools, including AI, to improve analysis, workflows, and outcomes.

This role will report to the Vice President, Global Pricing Strategy and will be based at Visa's offices in Foster City, California or San Francisco, California.

Essential Functions:

  • Support and lead elements of pricing strategy development and refinement, including opportunity identification, strategic analysis, and framing of pricing decisions to support innovation adoption and ecosystem incentives
  • Support and lead aspects of pricing modeling, forecasting and socialization, including but not limited to development of business cases and assessments of stakeholder impact for new fees, services, and/or rate modifications
  • Identify, prioritize, and execute activities that support Visa's corporate strategies, priorities, and special initiative, with attention to timing, dependencies, and execution readiness
  • Work within cross-functional and cross-regional teams, including Product, Finance, Client Services, and others, to solve complex business problems and develop recommendations across a wide range of business issues
  • Help improve visibility, coordination, and consistency in how pricing decisions are developed, sequenced, and communicated
  • Communicate insights and recommendations clearly and credibly to business leaders, building understanding, alignment, and support
  • Specific projects will vary greatly in sponsorship, scope, and strategic focus, ranging from broad coordination efforts across multiple functional areas to focused assignments for senior management that are high strategic importance to Visa Inc.
  • The position requires the ability to apply strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to solve business problems, navigate ambiguity, and quickly arrive at recommendations that support corporate priorities and execution.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 8 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 or more years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD Preferred Qualifications: 9 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • 3 or more years of experience in financial services, payments, strategy consulting, or a related field, with genuine curiosity about trends, innovations, and challenges in payments and money movement
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to evaluate ideas and proposals within broader company objectives and execution constraints
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in complex, ambiguous environments while managing competing demands across multiple projects and stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in financial services, payments processing, and/or strategy consulting, with genuine curiosity about trends, innovations, and challenges in payments and money movement solutions
  • Superior analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to synthesize complex data into actionable recommendations.
  • Strategic thinker with ability to evaluate ideas and proposals within broader company objectives
  • Demonstrated capacity to work independently in complex, ambiguous environments, while managing competing demands across multiple projects and stakeholders, often with overlapping timelines and priorities
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
  • Personal presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages in written and verbal communications
  • Self-starter attitude - the ability to self-serve, investigate and get the information needed for the project at hand
  • Openness to an environment of active developmental feedback and coaching from peers and managers

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 149,800.00 to 240,100.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
