Job Description

The Sr. Director is responsible for managing a team of sellers supporting issuer payment processing services into medium to large financial institutions and negotiating contractual arrangements. Specifically, you will lead a team of existing business sellers for Visa DPS, one of Visa’s longest-standing value-added services we offer to financial institutions. DPS is an industry-leading business, that offers our banking partners simple payments processing capabilities, alongside knowledgeable Visa partners to help our clients stay at the forefront of the future of payments.

As a Sr. Director for Visa DPS, you’ll be responsible for developing talent, managing a pipeline, executing the strategic direction to exceed targets, renew business, and maintain Sr. level relationships with clients and consultants as well as internal stakeholders. You’ll collaborate with a fantastic team to ensure our clients receive the very best of Visa.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead Team to Success: You will develop a sales strategy that provides direction for the team to execute on quarterly and annual targets.
  • Negotiate Contracts: You'll collaborate with your team to negotiate contracts with financial institutions to help them use our payment processing services.
  • Obsess about Customers: You'll ensure that the team is up to speed on all Visa has to offer to proactively pitch compelling solution sets that will help your clients maximize their payment portfolios.
  • Drive Innovation into the Market: You'll play a key role in influencing marketing and product development initiatives based on your market intelligence.  The leader will also be responsible for launching new products in your territory.
  • Lead Courageously: You’ll use your expertise to contribute to the development of the overall functional strategy & annual goals and coach & mentor your team to lift the performance of the entire VAS organization.   

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 259,600.00 to 454,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
