Director Solution Engineering / Pre-Sales - Analytics & Data Architecture
As a Director, Solution Engineering you will work closely with the Sales Leaders and the Sales team to drive growth, and take a strategic view to get us to the next stage of our journey.
The successful candidate will be a key member of the Solution Engineering Leadership Team. You will have a breadth and depth of experience managing teams, to drive transformational change and build engagement at CXO level.
You will have exceptional leadership, communication, strategic, analytical, and consulting skills. Additionally, you will have a track record of success in the following areas:
Internal and external stakeholder management.
C level relationships and the ability to translate these into revenue.
Transformational thinker and leader taking the business to the next level through disruptive thinking and innovation.
People and organisational leadership.
The Director Solution Engineering / Pre-Sales - Analytics & Data Architecture is an authority in categories that may include business strategy, AI, data, analytics, cloud and enterprise architecture. They have strong sales and technical skills and use validated consultative approaches to engage with customers and motivate them for their transformation journey, along with defining the steps to get there.
This role will have a strong customer-facing element with an emphasis on establishing strong partnerships with our most strategic customers and helping them implement a data analytics strategy that drives values for everyone.
Responsibilities:
Experience managing a deeply skilled, diverse Solution Engineering team to capture share in a rapidly evolving market.
Manage and grow the Solution engineering team ensuring we continue to hire and retain top talent in the market.
Experience driving and scaling success in large, complex selling organizations.
Partner with Sales leadership to support commercial deals, as well as sign new logos.
Focus on innovation- ensure the team is constantly innovating in their approach to solution selling.
Build and nurture C-level relationships across key accounts to solidify our partnership and commitment to the customer.
Drive deep Customer Engagement through influencing the customers broader IT strategy.
Work closely with the Sales organization to develop and execute growth plans to drive our strategic vision.
Hire world class talent and manage performance to ensure career growth opportunities and effective succession planning.
Embody Salesforce values and provide exemplary leadership.
Experience/Skills Required:
8+ years in leadership roles, especially in Solution Engineering / Pre-Sales.
Strong understanding of business processes and their implementation into enterprise applications
Knowledge of industry-specific use cases, data architectures, and integration patterns.
Gifted storyteller able to engage diverse audiences up to C-level executive.
Persuasive verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills that influence change in large organizations.Passion for technology and innovation, and a proven “forward thinker”.
Ability to evaluate and develop the existing teams and reshape it as necessary while mentoring and inspiring the team.
Ability to quickly grasp and distinctly explain technological and business concepts.
Experience in delivering Data & AI solutions based on data-led transformations that demonstrate value and tackle meaningful business challenges.
Proven success in either Data, AI, Enterprise Architecture, Data Governance fields over a period of 8+ years.
Understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, understanding of the agent platform, how to configure and set up agents, hook them into existing flows, automation, api connection, etc.
Strong technical selling skills including the ability to explain Data Architecture, AI models and solutions to non-technical clients and how Data + AI capabilities and solutions can translate to business.
Deep appreciation of the CDO role and ability to nurture influential relationships with C-level executives.
Credible knowledge around common enterprise architect topics such as persona based journeys, process orchestration, master data management, analytics and insights etc.
Proven grasp of Salesforce platform capabilities, or similar data and analytics platforms.
Outstanding communication and negotiation skills honed through your experience.
Fluency in Arabic and English.
Chief Data Office or Chief Data Scientist experience.
Deep knowledge on Salesforce Data, AI and Analytics technologies - Salesforce Data Cloud, Salesforce Tableau, Salesforce AI technologies like Agentforce
Knowledge of analytics platforms like AWS S3, DataBricks, Google Big Query, Snowflake Microsoft Fabric.
Knowledge of AI/Generative-AI solutions from vendors like AWS, Google, Microsoft.
Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., Salesforce, AWS, GCP, Azure) and advanced data modeling techniques.
A deep understanding of data security, compliance, and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
