Job Details
We are seeking a Principal Python Developer to lead the development of a new Generation AI (GenAI) HR application hosted on Citi’s internal cloud using Google Gemini Pro. The role will focus on designing and implementing backend functionality for the application, leveraging Python and Node.js, with an emphasis on creating efficient, scalable, and maintainable code.
Responsibilities:
Lead the Python development of a GenAI HR application designed to automate and streamline a large number of existing HR processes.
Develop backend features that integrate with Workday, ServiceNow, and other HR systems to create a case management chatbot and automate common HR processes for managers, employees, and HR employees.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of the application into Citi’s internal IT infrastructure.
Optimize code quality, performance, and security to ensure scalability and reliability for future growth.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to the broader development team by sharing best practices and expertise.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in Python programming, with a strong focus on backend development.
Proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related technologies.
Strong understanding of cloud computing principles (e.g., AWS, Azure) and familiarity with Citi’s internal cloud infrastructure is a plus.
Experience with API development and integration into external systems such as Workday or ServiceNow.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining clear communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Experience with microservices architecture and containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes is a plus.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks would be advantageous.
