The role partners closely with Product, Engineering, Editorial, and Operations teams to ensure delivery outcomes are achieved predictably, securely, and at scale, while operating within Reuters standards for governance, resilience, security, editorial trust, and the responsible use of AI.
About the roleYou’re a senior delivery leader who combines strong execution with sound judgement. You will act as a strategic delivery partner to Product and Technology leadership, helping shape delivery plans, manage risk, and balance customer value, speed, quality, and operational stability.
You will also play a key role in governing and embedding modern, AI‑enabled delivery practices, ensuring AI is used to improve outcomes without compromising transparency, accountability, or quality.
Your role will include:- End‑to‑end delivery ownership:
Owning the delivery of complex programmes and initiatives, with accountability for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and business value. - Planning & execution:
Defining and maintaining integrated delivery plans across multiple teams, vendors, and geographies, from discovery through build, release, and operational readiness. - Stakeholder management:
Building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Architecture, QA, Editorial, Commercial, Finance, Legal, and Operations. - Decision support & escalation:
Facilitating decision‑making, managing trade‑offs, and proactively identifying and resolving delivery risks, issues, and dependencies. - Governance & quality:
Ensuring delivery complies with Reuters standards for security, privacy, operational readiness, change management, and responsible use of AI. - Ways of working:
Applying Agile and Lean delivery practices pragmatically, aligned to context and risk, and driving a consistent delivery cadence across teams. - AI‑enabled delivery:
Leveraging AI‑enabled tools for planning, estimation, reporting, and insight generation, while retaining clear human accountability and oversight.
You’re a confident, collaborative delivery manager who is comfortable operating in complex, fast‑moving environments and working with senior stakeholders across functions and geographies.
Your background includes:
- Proven experience delivering large‑scale product and technology initiatives in complex organisations
- Strong understanding of delivery and programme management within modern software development environments
- Experience working in Agile delivery models, with the ability to adapt approach based on risk and context
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to use AI‑enabled tools responsibly to improve delivery effectiveness.
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Agile certification (Scrum Master, SAFe, or equivalent) is desirable.
