We are looking for a Manager, Accounting to oversee end-to-end accounting processes across the organization. He/she will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements and month-end close. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills — both verbal and written — along with strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and technical accounting skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. A positive demeanor and the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management across functions such as HR, Finance, IT, and external auditors are essential.

About the Role
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department and conduct regular reviews of the balance sheet; highlight and resolve potential exposures. P&L flux analysis and provide explanations of variances month over month.
- Support the integration of accounting processes for newly acquired entities as well as divestitures for businesses sold.
- Collaborate with IT and other functions to assess any changes in systems or processes and evaluate their impact on accounting.
- Interact with various stakeholders, including senior management, auditors, and non-finance departments, using excellent communication and interpersonal skills to explain complex financial information in an understandable way, build relationships, and collaborate across departments.
- Foster a strong internal controls environment — risk management and internal controls are core responsibilities. Developing and maintaining robust internal control systems to prevent fraud, errors, and financial misstatements.
- Develop and implement process excellence initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of business operations, leading process improvement projects including mapping current and future state processes and implementing process changes.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors in connection with audits and reviews.
- Preferred experience and working knowledge of statutory reporting and IFRS/GAAP.
People Management
- Lead, coach, and develop accounting team members, as applicable.
- Set clear expectations, provide performance feedback, and support skill development.
- Ensure adequate coverage, workload balancing, and segregation of duties during close cycles.
- Foster a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.
About You
- 8+ years of post-qualification experience, with at least 3 years at a manager level.
- Financial expertise is essential, including a deep understanding of financial reporting and auditing practices.
- Experience in finance & accounting with preferred exposure to global accounting systems and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Preferred experience working with automation tools such as UiPath, Alteryx, and AI-driven tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent leadership and team management abilities, ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, high level of attention to detail and decision-making capabilities.
- Project management and experience with process improvement, data analysis.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and to influence senior leadership.
- Experience in change management and driving operational transformation.
