Skills and Competencies
- Deep understanding of large language models (LLMs) and ability to build enterprise-capable applications utilizing them
- Expertise in AI architecture and ability to set strategic direction for AI Hub and Center of Excellence initiatives
- Strong leadership skills to manage diverse technical teams, including LLM Ops, UI/UX development, and DevOps
- Ability to design and maintain evaluation frameworks for AI models, including load testing and CI/CD integration
- Proficiency in developing tools for model routing, fine-tuning, and gateway testing
- Demonstrated experience in infrastructure management, including environments for development, UAT, and production
- Deep expertise in artificial intelligence, with a track record of implementing advanced AI solutions to drive strategic transformation and operational efficiency. Strong experience using AI tools to lead innovation initiatives. Demonstrated leadership in managing AI-related risks, ensuring ethical governance, and fostering a culture of responsible AI adoption across the organization
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Advanced degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Set strategic direction for AI Hub and Center of Excellence initiatives
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and prioritize AI engineering projects
- Lead development of enterprise AI applications leveraging LLMs
- Oversee creation and maintenance of evaluation tools and frameworks for AI models
- Manage teams responsible for model routing, fine-tuning, and component library development
- Direct UI/UX development for AI platforms and tools
- Ensure robust DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipeline management and infrastructure as code
- Communicate new designs and technologies to governance bodies and stakeholders

Our Applied AI Engineering team is responsible for driving innovation and building scalable AI solutions across Moody’s. For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $168,700.00 - $244,600.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
