Manager, Software Development Engineering

Are you a technically oriented person with the ability to lead staff? We are seeking a Manager, Software Development Engineering for one of our teams in Gothenburg. We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager who combines personnel responsibility with active development work.

We take care of the technical and regulatory requirements throughout the ordertocash, purchasetopay and shipping processes, to provide our customers with high data quality and security, transparency and real-time visibility. All this via a single connection.

About the role

The role is divided between leading and developing teams of software developers and contributing technically in everyday life.

You will work closely with product, architecture and other technical teams to deliver high-quality, secure and scalable solutions in line with the company's goals and also be part of a management team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of software developers
  • Responsible for recruitment, performance and skills development
  • Work hands-on with design, development and technical decisions
  • Ensure quality, safety and good architecture
  • Drive technology initiatives throughout the development lifecycle
  • Collaborate closely with product, UX, and other stakeholders
  • Work together with a team of other leaders for strategy work and other people-related issues

About you

The successful applicant for the role of Manager, Software Development Engineering if you have the following experience and qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in software development
  • Experience in technical leadership and people management (with direct reports)
  • Experience of Java/Scala as backend and React as frontend
  • Experience with AI/ML
  • Experience in security and compliance
  • Strong understanding of system architecture and cloud solutions
  • Relevant educational background in Systems Science, Development/Programming or other related technical field
  • Swedish and English language to professional level
  • Right to work in Sweden
  • Please note our job offers are with contracts including a probation period (provanställning) and subject to passing an extended background check (criminal and credit).
