Software Procurement Consultant

As a Software Procurement Consultant, you’ll play a key role in advising clients on strategic software sourcing. You’ll work closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure that every procurement decision supports business needs, budgets, and long-term goals. Your expertise in software licensing, negotiation, and vendor management will drive efficient, cost-effective procurement processes and sustainable partnerships.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to identify software requirements that align with business strategies.
• Evaluate and recommend software vendors based on offerings, reputation, and overall value.
• Advise on licensing models (SaaS, perpetual, subscription) and recommend the most suitable agreements.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses to identify savings and maximize value.
• Negotiate favorable terms with software vendors, including pricing, conditions, and renewals.
• Oversee contract lifecycles to ensure compliance and manage renewals or amendments.
• Act as a liaison between clients and vendors to optimize performance and resolve challenges.
• Stay informed about market trends and emerging technologies to provide relevant, data-driven recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to streamline software costs through license optimization and consolidation.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and communications.
• Support additional tasks and projects as assigned by leadership.
