Job Description

AbbVie Citywest Dublin have a requirement for a Medical Reviewer to join our team on an initial 12 Month FTC basis.

The Market Access Strategic Accounts Manager is a field based role and has national responsibility for AbbVie’s interactions with Ireland’s health technology management agencies; and is responsible for optimizing market access for AbbVie therapies in strategic accounts. Strategic accounts include key hospitals, insurers, HSE Regions and procurement agencies.

 

Responsibilities will include:

• Health technology Management: the role holder is AbbVie’s national lead in managing the company’s engagement with Ireland’s evolving health technology management system. The role holder manages key relationships with the Medicines Management Programme, High-Tech Hub, Acute Hospitals Drugs Management Programme. In this respect the role holder plays an active part in brand teams and has a key role in reimbursement strategy. The role holder has a responsibility for educating and informing the affiliate about health technology management in Ireland.
• Strategic Account Management: The role holder is AbbVie’s lead in the identification and development of strategic accounts. In this work, the role holder collaborates with commercial and MASR colleagues to develop and deliver strategies that achieve, maintain and improve market access for AbbVie therapies. This responsibility obtains for key therapies – both new innovations and also key mature therapies. The role holder aligns with colleagues to create and maintain a consistent AbbVie approach to HCPs and healthcare organisations.
• Procurement: The role holder works x-functionally with Finance, Commercial and Pricing colleagues to deliver market access via activities encompassing in-field pricing, contract & tendering and public procurement processes. The role holder ensures that opportunities for the AbbVie portfolio are maximized in the healthcare contracts & pricing settings in Ireland


Qualifications

• Health technology management, pharmaceutical supply chain, hospital and retail pharmacy, health economics and commercial negotiation are essential.
• Contracting and tendering in the Irish healthcare setting, and knowledge of Irish healthcare policy and HSE decision making
• Appreciation of the interdependent nature of functions in the pharma business model in Ireland (policy/advocacy, market access, finance, commercial, legal & compliance, medical).
• Multi-tasking, prioritization, project management and management of multi-stakeholder projects.
• Clinical data analysis/synthesis


Preferred qualifications:
• Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent
• MBA or equivalent
