Product Manager III - Data Products
The Product Team creates high-quality end-to-end experiences for travelers, partners, and Expedia Group. Our customer-first mindset focuses on developing products that encourage loyalty and repeat business from our travelers and partners. We partner closely with teams across Expedia Group to achieve growth and results for our customers and company.
As a Product Manager III leading a foundational Enterprise Data Product, you will set the vision, strategy, and roadmap for your data product that powers traveler and partner insights, machine learning science model training, and analytics across Expedia Group divisions. You will partner with engineers and business stakeholders, and work at the forefront of our data-driven transformation. Your work will be pivotal to enabling data-driven decision-making and innovation, directly contributing to best-in-class travel experiences worldwide.
In this role, you will:
Own and drive the product strategy, vision, and outcomes for a clearly scoped product area, aligning customer needs, business goals, and technical constraints into a focused roadmap and prioritized backlog.
Lead end-to-end product delivery from discovery through launch and iteration, defining problem statements, writing clear requirements and user stories, and partnering with engineering, design, data, and operations to ship high-quality solutions.
Use quantitative and qualitative data to surface opportunities, validate assumptions, define success metrics, and make informed trade-offs that balance customer impact, technical feasibility, and business value.
Collaborate across multiple teams and related product areas to ensure your product integrates effectively within broader systems and platforms, including AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows, and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products where appropriate.
Safely integrate and operate AI/ML‑enabled solutions that improve outcomes, partnering with engineering and data teams to ensure reliability, usability, and responsible use of data and models in customer and internal experiences.
Communicate product direction, priorities, and status clearly to stakeholders and leadership, aligning teams around goals, managing dependencies, and driving execution across functions.
Experience and qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical, analytical, business, or related field, or equivalent practical experience in product management or closely related roles.
5+ years of product management experience owning a specific product, feature set, or problem space, including defining strategy and roadmap, writing requirements, and driving delivery with engineering teams.
Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and modern data technologies
Proven experience working with cross-functional partners (such as engineering, design, data, and operations) to deliver products or features from concept through launch and ongoing optimization.
Hands-on experience using data to drive product decisions, including defining metrics, reviewing experiment or feature performance, and iterating based on insights to improve outcomes.
Familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products, with awareness of how to safely integrate such capabilities into user experiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience taking products from concept to scaled adoption, including shaping product strategy, validating problem–solution fit, and iterating based on market, customer, and experimentation insights.
Experience managing products that operate at scale, coordinating with multiple services, teams, or domains, and handling complex technical dependencies and integrations.
Strong discovery and product sense, including framing ambiguous problems, running structured experiments, and using qualitative and quantitative inputs to inform roadmap and prioritization.
Experience partnering with engineering and data teams on AI/ML‑enabled capabilities (e.g., recommendations, personalization, or automation), including defining use cases, success metrics, safeguards, and monitoring for responsible, safe operation.
Ability to influence without direct authority, align diverse stakeholders around a product direction, and communicate complex technical or analytical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
