FreeWill is seeking a Digital Production Manager to serve as the operational backbone of the Digital Services team, ensuring the smooth operation of 500+ Planned Giving Microsites while driving continuous process improvement. This role blends hands-on technical execution in web design, development, and content production with rigorous project coordination and process ownership. The Digital Production Manager acts as the link between partners, internal strategists, and contract developers, translating requests into action, building scalable systems, and ensuring seamless project delivery.

Responsibilities will include:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for partner requests, managing intake, setting expectations, and providing clear status updates throughout the project lifecycle
• Coordinate work across contract developers by scoping requests, assigning tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards before delivery
• Execute design and development work directly, including building and modifying sites in WordPress, creating and editing visual assets in Photoshop or Figma, and writing clean HTML/CSS/JS as needed; use Git and GitHub as part of regular workflow
• Own project tracking and documentation in Notion, maintaining accurate records of decisions, partner context, and project status
• Build and refine operational systems, including intake workflows, QC checklists, handoff processes, and documentation standards; conduct quarterly reviews to identify improvements
• Handle bespoke and one-off requests with flexibility, problem-solving edge cases, and flagging patterns that suggest the need for new processes
• QC completed work for accuracy, brand consistency, and basic accessibility before delivery
• Communicate proactively, clearly, and empathetically with partners and internal stakeholders

• Have a strong operational mindset, notice inefficiencies, document learnings, and build systems to streamline future work
• Possess real web design and development experience, having built websites from scratch and are fluent in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (React and Next.js); comfortable in WordPress, GitHub, and design tools
• Bring an agency generalist background, able to shift between designer, developer, project manager, and client-facing roles as needed
• Demonstrate excellent written communication skills, writing clearly and concisely for different audiences
• Are comfortable with ambiguity and change, adapting to evolving product offerings and shifting priorities
• Show attention to detail and follow-through, catching errors before delivery and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks

Nice to have:

• Experience with Notion, Figma, or similar tools for project management and design collaboration
• Familiarity with domains, DNS, analytics platforms, or accessibility standards (WCAG)
• Background in nonprofit tech, SaaS, or B2B environments
• Experience managing or coordinating contractors or freelancers

Total Compensation

The salary for this role is $70,000 and includes equity and full benefits.
