Skills and Competencies
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Passion for community service and volunteerism.
- Experience working with corporate volunteer programs. (Preferred)
- Familiarity with virtual and hybrid volunteer engagement strategies. (Preferred)
Education
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Nonprofit Management, Social Work, Community Development, Communication).
- Ideally one year ahead of graduation.
- Start date: March 2025
Responsibilities
- Volunteer Coordination: Assist in planning, organizing, and overseeing volunteer activities and events as part of Moody's TeamUp 2025. Help with logistics, managing volunteer sign-ups, and ensuring events run smoothly.
- Partnership Management: Support the building and maintaining of relationships with nonprofit partners to identify volunteer opportunities that align with Moody's community impact goals.
- Communication: Serve as a point of contact for volunteers, providing them with necessary information, support, and guidance. Help communicate regularly with volunteers about upcoming events and opportunities. Send out post-event surveys to participants.
- Training and Development: Assist in delivering training programs for Team Leaders to ensure they are well-prepared and confident in their roles.
- Data Management: Help track volunteer participation and impact. Maintain accurate records of volunteer hours and activities.
- Admin: Own meeting/event scheduling, including distribution of agendas and meeting notes. Maintain record of donation agreements/invoices.
- Ad hoc: Team player who is willing to step in to ad hoc projects on an as needed basis
About the team
The Community Impact Intern will support Moody's Team Up 2025 initiative by assisting in the coordination of volunteer activities, managing relationships with nonprofit partners, and ensuring a positive volunteer experience for Moody's employees. This internship is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about community engagement and looking to gain experience in volunteer management.
