Thomson Reuters is seeking a self‑motivated professional with indirect tax experience to join our Professional Services team as an Implementation Consultant, focusing on implementations of ONESOURCE Indirect Tax technology solutions. In this role, you will support projects related to the development and deployment of ONESOURCE Indirect Tax products, working closely with teams across Engineering, Product Management, Customer Support, and Sales. You will also play a key role in driving process improvements and supporting operational scalability.

Please note: This is a hybrid role, with 3 days per week in our Gdansk, Poland office. A variable amount of travel to client site may be expected (estimated at between 10%-25%).

About the Role

As our Implementation Consultant, you will:

  • Maintain regular, direct communication with clients - via email, phone, and face‑to‑face meetings - throughout the full project lifecycle.
  • Perform technical or functional roles on medium to large international projects led by a Project Manager, ONESOURCE Partner, or Customer.
  • Work closely with clients’ Tax and IT teams to understand requirements and business processes.
  • Implement ONESOURCE Indirect Tax software, including requirements analysis, solution design and documentation, configuration, testing, rollout support, and more.
  • Scope projects based on business requirements and achievable benefits.
  • Recommend optimal system configurations and business processes aligned with industry best practices.
  • Identify and develop upsell opportunities within assigned projects.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer excellence, maintaining minimal to no customer escalations for service issues.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams - including Product, Engineering, Sales, Support, and partner organizations.
  • Support presales activities such as software demonstrations, scoping, and evaluating new prospects.

Key Relationships

You will:

  • Collaborate with partners on professional services engagements to configure and implement ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Determination, ONESOURCE Indirect Compliance, and ONESOURCE E‑Invoicing.
  • Engage with internal Thomson Reuters teams to deliver end‑to‑end indirect tax solutions, including supporting Sales in business development.
  • Work with colleagues on presales activities such as demonstrations and opportunity scoping.
  • Build effective relationships across a matrix organization, partnering with peers across various functions.

About You

To succeed as an Implementation Consultant, you will likely have:

  • Specialized industry knowledge in Indirect Tax (e.g., VAT, GST), tax research or consulting, OR experience in Indirect Tax compliance and digital reporting.
  • 2+ years of technical or functional experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, NetSuite, Workday, etc.
  • Understanding of end‑to‑end financial processes (e.g., OTC or PTP) and related systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, with experience working with clients and project teams.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a methodical approach to problem‑solving and troubleshooting.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
  • A creative, innovative, and flexible mindset, with the ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.
  • Strong cross‑team collaboration skills; ability to anticipate risks, develop mitigation plans, and address issues proactively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Functional proficiency with both tax engine solutions and compliance solutions.
  • Experience with software gap analysis and resolution.
  • Experience in process analysis, design, mapping, and re‑engineering.

Education / Certifications
  • A bachelor’s degree or a professional qualification in Tax or Accounting (e.g., ACA, ACCA, ATT, CTA).

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. For Poland, the base compensation range for this role is 115,500 PLN - 214,500 PLN. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
