• 1 to 3 years of work experience in data quality, analysis, remediation, or governance role is required.
• Experience in leading small teams or projects is advantageous
• Excellent analytical skills and critical thinking with strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy is required for reviewing, correcting, and validating complex entity databases and identify patterns, inconsistency, gaps, or anomalies in data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required for data validation, analysis, and reporting, plus basic familiarity with data technologies like SQL, Power BI, Databricks, etc. is desired.
• Good understanding of entity data (e.g., firmographics, demographics) is necessary to ensure data completeness and consistency across systems. Previous experience with corporate or financial databases is beneficial.
• Good organization, problem solving and strong time-management skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple deliverables.
• Proven ability to identify recurring data issues and contribute to process improvements is essential for enhancing data quality.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills are necessary to collaborate with team leads and data quality managers on remediation tasks for flagging issues clearly, escalating discrepancies and drawing meaningful resolutions.
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively is required to manage remediation tasks effectively in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment.
• Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency along with awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree is required, preferably in Commerce, Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.

• Perform intensive research/fact-checking of various data component types for accuracy and completeness of data/content, including but not limited to cross-checking various reliable sources and ensure consistency of facts, terminology, assumptions and disclosures across datasets.
• Identify, document, and escalate discrepancies, data gaps, and inconsistencies and perform manual remediation of entity data to resolve inaccuracies, duplicates, and missing information.
• Collaborate with team members by participating in peer reviews and quality audits to establish data governance protocols and quality standards and ensure the timeliness, accuracy and integrity of our entity data.
• Work with the data operations team to prioritize and execute remediation tasks based on business needs.
• Leverage tools like Excel, Power BI and SQL for data validation, review, and reporting tasks.
• Bringing up process improvement initiatives based on the observation of current processes, developing technologies and creative/better way of execution.
• Support creation and maintenance of operational documentation and guidelines like standard operating procedures (SOPs), training documents, etc.

Our Data Estate team is responsible for managing, enriching, and validating the entity data that powers Moody’s financial intelligence products. We contribute to Moody's by providing the trusted foundational data our clients rely on for risk assessment and decision-making.
