As a Transportation Lead Analyst, you will support the Global Transportation team’s objectives by delivering data insights and independently identifying opportunities. You will lead development of compelling business cases and effectively communicate your recommendations to stakeholders, with a strong emphasis on visual presentation skills. Technical proficiency with relational databases and the ability to lead and collaborate with developers on process development and improvement are essential.

  • Lead the development and presentation of data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to stakeholders across the organization, clearly articulating business implications and influencing decision-making

  • Design, build, and optimize advanced analytics tools supported by scalable data pipelines to deliver actionable insights across transportation cost, service, quality, sustainability, and other key performance metrics

  • Apply deep transportation industry expertise to extract value from complex, multi-source datasets, analyzing intersections between freight and non-freight data across parcel, courier, LTL, truckload, air cargo, and ocean transportation

  • Own the end-to-end conceptualization, design, and delivery of business intelligence solutions — from requirements gathering and stakeholder alignment to architecture, development, and deployment

  • Serve as a thought partner to cross-functional teams, bringing an analytics-first perspective to strategic initiatives and elevating data literacy across the organization

  • Drive continuous improvement of data infrastructure and governance, proactively identifying gaps, improving reliability, and enhancing scalability of analytics systems

  • Operate with a high degree of independence and accountability, exercising sound judgment in ambiguous situations and making well-reasoned decisions with minimal supervision

  • Informally lead by example - setting analytical standards, mentoring junior team members, and helping shape best practices within the analytics function

What you will need-

  • Bachelor’s degree in business related field required (supply chain, finance, information systems, or related field of study) - required

  • 4+ years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 2 years in transportation - required

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude

  • Expertise in creating compelling visualizations and narratives to effectively communicate findings

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying complex information clearly and concisely

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, driving projects to completion with minimal supervision

  • Proven ability to lead resolution of novel issues where precedent or guidance may be limited

  • Deep understanding of transportation principles, pricing, and methods for identifying cost savings

  • In-depth knowledge of applying complex pricing structures to shipment data for one or more transportation modes: Parcel, Specialty Courier, LTL (US), and Air/Ocean Freight Forwarding

  • Strong programming skills, with mandatory proficiency in SQL and experience in Python

  • Familiarity with data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and scalable data infrastructure design

  • Proficiency in working with relational databases and data visualization tools
