Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands (AUNZPI) is Visa's advisory division, working with Visa's clients (including card issuers, acquirers, and merchants) on a broad range of key business initiatives including strategy, operational optimisation, customer engagement and overall business profitability.
VCA is made up of three services lines - Advisory, Data Science and Managed Services, the latter being the execution arm of VCA. Our Managed Services teams (also known as squads) are embedded on client sites leading long-term engagements and delivering value primarily through implementation and execution services. We deliver objectives from a shared value agenda but are also closely connected to the broader VCA team, sharing knowledge, and bringing the best of Visa to the client.
We are looking for a Card Program Delivery Senior Manager who will be embedded with one of our valued clients based in Auckland. The role is a 12-month fixed term contract.
Role Summary
The Card Program Delivery Senior Manager drives the delivery of high‑impact card initiatives that strengthen security, enhance customer experience, and uplift card‑portfolio performance. The role supports strategic goals such as modernising authentication, improving authorisation rates, and enabling seamless digital payment experiences. Success in this role requires a proactive, delivery‑focused leader who excels at navigating complexity, aligning stakeholders, identifying & mitigating delivery risk, and translating business needs into executable delivery plans. This position is critical to ensuring the organisation keeps pace with evolving payments technology while delivering safe, reliable, customer‑centric card solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate delivery across multiple concurrent workstreams, ensuring clear objectives, defined milestones, and timely execution
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across the organisation, ensuring alignment of expectations, and timely escalation of risks.
- Provide end‑to‑end change execution which is consistent with client internal change management process requirements
- Design & delivery internal & external communications to ensure clear, accurate & appropriate disclosure of changes.
- Provide business analytical outputs to enable the creation of clearly defined business requirements which can be easily used to define technical requirements & delivery scheduling.
- Design and implement key projects including, but not limited to Issuer enabled Click to Pay, Passkey and AVS/AVI.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in delivery leadership, program management, or payments related roles, ideally working across multi team environments and delivering complex, cross functional initiatives.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and execution skills—ability to translate business goals into detailed delivery plans and manage complex interdependencies across programs.
- Deep understanding of card program ecosystems, including issuers, processors, card networks, token providers, and regulatory/compliance considerations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with a track record of collaborating across business, technology, and vendor groups to achieve shared outcomes.
- Ability to engage with people across different levels and to work with software providers to deliver change.
- An excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with proven influencing and facilitation skills.
- Commercial, focused on delivery and value, and able to make trade-off decisions.
- Excel, and PowerPoint with the ability to story tell using data and insights.
