- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working in a cloud computing environment (e.g., application modernization, infrastructure, storage, platforms or data).
- Experience with architecting, developing, and maintaining technical solutions by leveraging virtual machines, containers (e.g., Kubernetes/GKE or serverless computing).
- Experience with Kubernetes or GKE, Serverless computing, API management, CI/CD.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with customer-facing migrations, including service discovery, assessment, planning, execution, and operations.
- Experience or interest in multi-cloud or hybrid Cloud environments.
- Experience reading software code in one or more languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Experience in systems design with an ability to architect or explain complex systems interactions including data flows, common interfaces, APIs, and methods available.
- Excellent communication, written, presentation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to write and speak fluent English and Arabic.

As an Application Modernization Consultant, you will work with Google's most tactical Cloud customers to transform existing enterprise applications into modern, cloud native applications to reduce time to launch, increase release frequency, reduce time to recovery and failure rate. You will advise customers on application re-design and implementation including application scaling, reliability, and ongoing operations such as application and feature rollouts, monitoring, and more. You will provide consulting, technical expertise, and program management to customers while working with client executives and key technical leaders to drive adoption of modern application patterns and paradigms via Google’s Cloud Platform.
You will possess a broad skill set including architecture design, distributed systems, container technologies, and deployment strategies. You will navigate ambiguity, and you will enjoy technical solutions as much as you enjoy working with client executives. You will also possess excellent communication and project management skills.

- Work with customer technical leads, client executives, and partners to manage and deliver successful implementations of cloud solutions becoming a trusted advisor to decision makers throughout the engagement.
- Propose solution architectures and manage the deployment of cloud based solutions according to complex customer requirements and implementation best practices.
- Collaborate with client stakeholders to design, deliver, and manage cutting-edge applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Develop tailored strategies and migrate legacy applications to scalable, container-based architectures.
- Guide customers in decomposing monolithic applications, enabling them to harness flexibility and agility of container technologies.
