In this role, you will drive the technical sales process end‑to‑end by providing deep presales expertise, delivering tailored product demonstrations and proof‑of‑concepts, shaping solution architectures, and ensuring integration feasibility with client systems.
You will partner closely with account teams and solution specialists to translate client requirements into compelling, multi‑solution VAS proposals; respond to RFPs/RFIs with clear technical narratives; and guide prospects through evaluation to a clean handover into implementation. You will operate as a high‑performing technical sales individual contributor, while also playing a role in creating product requirements and solution feedback for our regional and global product teams. The goal is to ensure Sales has consistent technical support to successfully sell combined VAS Issuing solutions, while continuing to optimise and extend our products to align with market and client needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive technical sales and solution excellence for VAS Issuing products, including Loyalty, Network, Digital Solutions, and Data Products.
- Actively accountable for VAS Issuing product sales and revenue targets for the cluster.
- Serve in a lead role in preparing and responding to RFPs and RFIs.
- Participate in client pitches, renewals, and technical workshops, and conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations.
- Own the technical sales cycle: conduct and synthesise discovery; design and deliver client‑specific demos/POCs; and lead due diligence and RFP/RFI responses for Issuing products.
- Act as the senior technical owner for VAS Issuing solutions; set the bar for discovery quality, solution fit, and executive‑level narratives.
- Client leadership: serve as the senior technical voice in pitches, renewals, and workshops; address integration with bank cores and digital channels; and guide decisions on performance, scale, resiliency, and data residency.
- Create reusable presales assets, including demo scripts, reference architectures, RFP libraries, and migration playbooks; enable AP market teams on Issuing differentiators and best practices.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Senior technical presales professional with experience in payments and card issuing.
- Experience in a SaaS environment with products directly related to, or adjacent to, loyalty, payment schemes, digital experience, and data.
- Deep knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand issuer market landscape, with strong client‑facing experience.
- Mastery of the technical sales craft, including discovery, value narrative development, demo/POC design, RFP/RFI leadership, and executive communication.
- High‑trust influencer across Sales, Solutions, Product, Engineering, and Delivery; excels in complex, matrixed environments.
The position may be based in Sydney or Melbourne and operates under a hybrid working model. Specific in‑office requirements will be confirmed by the hiring manager.
