Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is the consulting arm of Visa, and drives tangible, impactful results for clients. Drawing on our expertise in consulting, data analytics, technology, payments and economics, VCA solves the most strategic and operational problems for our clients. VCA's core client segments include retail banks/issuers, acquirers, merchants, fintechs, payment enablers and governments.
As a Senior Manager, you will work within the Central European Consulting team, leading and delivering projects for our clients in Germany. You will work towards the team’s goals and own the delivery of detailed data gathering, analysis, insight generation as well as the formulation of strategic and practical recommendations to enable the successful delivery of client projects.
Specific Responsibilities include:
Lead consulting initiatives for key clients in the German market and serve as their main contact point
Manage multiple projects and assure best-in-class project delivery, meeting objectives and timelines
Drive engagement closure by proactively identifying and pursuing client opportunities
Provide knowledge sharing, coaching and training across other Visa functional teams in the role as management consulting subject matter expert.
Join Visa internal teams in regular strategic & planning discussions to offer holistic Visa support to its clients Collaborate cross-functionally (e.g., marketing, sales, risk, innovation) and across regional teams to execute projects in ways that use the breadth and depth of Visa’s resources
Support clients in designing/developing new digital value propositions and digital processes in payments and daily banking, scale offerings and accelerate high-impact solution rollout to optimize delivery for profitability and client responsiveness
Perform client-specific analysis on client portfolio data including proprietary information, such as customer demographics, activity, spend levels, behavioral scores, financial information, among others
Drive client engagements to increase activation and usage of (digital) cards and the overall daily banking customer life-time value (CLV)
Support clients in developing strategic and tactical responses to increasing digital fraud and cybersecurity risks
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
What we'd like from you -
- Comprehensive experience in the Germanic retail banking and/or payment (card) industry
- Relevant experience in strategy or management consulting, with proven project deliveries and expertise in consulting and agile working methodologies
- Solid and relevant academic record (e.g. master’s degree in economics, Finance or similar)
- Excellent client relationship management skills (including senior executive level), preferably in the financial services industry
- Executive presence including excellent communication and presentations skills (written and verbal), and ability to communicate at all levels within large organizations
- Project experience in a digital and technology-driven environment with technology, digitally-savvy mindset Comprehensive understanding of consumer economics, behaviour and experience using financial indicators to measure business performance with a significant focus on impacting return on investment
- Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.
- Passionate, self-motivated, results oriented individual with the ability to handle numerous projects concurrently.
- Demonstrated leadership, managerial and collaboration capabilities, particularly with those who are not direct reports as may be found in a matrixed organization
- Fluency in English and German (must-have for client work)
