The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2600+ skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The INOPC team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.

The team caters to the four business units—Transformers, Grid Integration, Grid Automation, High Voltage and has successfully executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.
Mission Statement:
Ensuring that engineering is developed with complete information and/or that all multidisciplinary information has been included. Leading development of new solutions for complex projects and challenges. Driving completion of all engineering activities on the project. Coordinating engineering discipline across several projects. Providing technical support for testing, installation and commissioning activities. Designing and conducting experiments, analyzing and interpreting the data. Preparing complete project documents in area of responsibility. May act as a design authority for a particular engineering discipline and completes engineering assignments for that discipline. Creating work plans and cost estimates. Reviewing and approving scope, budget and schedule for assignments.
Your responsibilities:
Design, review and modelling of system study for medium voltage switchgear and Auxiliary transformer/distribution transformer including breaker selection and sizing, CT sizing, MCB/Fuse sizing and cable sizing.
Design, review and modelling of system study for low voltage AC & DC electrical systems including breaker selection and sizing, CT sizing, MCB/Fuse sizing and cable size verification from source to feeder end.
Perform short circuit analysis, load flow analysis and arc flash study.
Perform protective relay settings calculation and preparation of setting list & coordination report.
Preparation of MV & LV power system study report, arc flash report etc.
Provide applied engineering and technical consultation for internal and external customers in the area of system study.
Site support for troubleshooting while installation & commissioning (remote)
Customer & Supplier meeting for technical support.

Your background:
Bachelor's Degree i.e. B. Tech/ B.E. in Electrical Engineering.
You should have 6 to 8 years experience in Power System study for MV and Auxiliary LV system.
Software Knowledge: Mandatory: NEPLAN, MS Office (Preferable: ETAP, PSCAD).
Leadership, Analytical, Communication skills.
Good knowledge of process structuring & process management
Strong communication and technical knowledge skills.
