DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in Manassas, VA.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Completing repair activities on generators or components
• Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
• Maintain detailed records of service
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
• Maintain own tools

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
• High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
• Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision – hands on exposure to working on power generation products.
• Primarily engaged in preventative maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics on generators.
• Basic Diesel Engine experience.
• Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality. Education, Licenses, Certifications: Apprentice Trained Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred)Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution Current relevant electrical certification Locally valid driving permitThis position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Experience: Minimal level of workshop related experience required.Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience

QUALIFICATIONS

Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm with weekend work and afterhours

• A current valid license is required for this role
• Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience
• This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
