DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effective involvement in daily maintenance activity for machine shop breakdown.
  • Manage spare parts for improving downtime of machine.
  • Support to achieve Zero Quality defects.
  • Achieve Zero Safety Incidences in shop.
  • Maintain 5S & TPM Score.
  • Ensure preventive & predictive maintenance.
  • Ensure that there is adherence to all Discipline norms by Associates, ITI .
  • Monitor & control plant day to day issues.
  • Ensure to update shop breakdown for history & analysis.
  • Improving the quality by continuous improvement.
  • Resolve improvement action items generated through kaizen safety round, TPM , CI etc .
  • Maintain & Improve Housekeeping standards.
  • Knowledge of the CNC machine, SPM , Electrical system / assembly & test cell equipment.
  • Maintain the discipline of the work force.
  • Ensure machine safety & interfacing with other machine etc.
  • LOTO Risk assessments and work permits & Safety practices implementation.

Electrical System Troubleshooting - Analyzes an electrical control system to resolve and repair electrical issues to return the system to proper operating conditions.

Factory Automation and Control Systems - Implements changes to further automate manufacturing processes using available technology, programming techniques, and identifying needed material and resources for project completion to provide the optimum automation for the manufacturing environment.

Machine Programming - Creates factory floor machine programs by designing and implementing solutions to improve usage of machine and overall operation.

Manufacturing Knowledge - Demonstrates the knowledge of manufacturing by correctly implementing changes in current processes, equipment, and applications to meet the function's needs and contribute towards continuous improvement.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

Electronic / Electrical Diploma (DEE)

Experience:

Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills Required:-

  • Should have hands on experience on break down& trouble shooting on variety of CNC machines. FANUC, REXROTH control, Siemens Control, MAZAK , MAG, GROB etc
  • Knowledge of electronics measuring system & devices.
  • Sound knowledge of Siemens PLC \ HMI programming.
  • Familiar with CNC machine architecture, PLC programming, SCADA, Electrical logic, VFD etc.
  • Familiar with machine back-up , upload , down load . Also in-depth knowledge of machine working sequence.
  • Knowledge of Mitsubishi, Siemens, and Fanuc based CNC machine.
  • Hands on experience on KUKA , ABB Robot trouble shooting .
  • Robot programming experience add advantage.
  • Electronic & Electrical Maintenance especially for Machine shop

1. Technical Knowledge

  • CNC & PLC Systems : Understanding of controllers, ladder logic, and troubleshooting.
  • Sensors & Actuators : Proximity sensors, limit switches, encoders.
  • Drives & Motors : AC/DC drives, servo motors, VFDs.
  • Power Electronics : Contactors, relays, circuit breakers.
  • Control Panels : Wiring, layout, and diagnostics.

2. Maintenance Skills

  • Preventive Maintenance : Checking wiring, connectors, and electronic components.
  • Troubleshooting : Diagnosing faults in PLC, CNC, and control circuits.
  • Calibration : Servo drives, sensors, and feedback systems.
  • Firmware & Software Updates : CNC and PLC program handling.

3. Instrument Handling

  • Multimeter & Clamp Meter : Voltage, current, resistance checks.
  • Oscilloscope : Signal analysis for drives and sensors.
  • Insulation Tester & Megger : For motor and cable health.
  • Diagnostic Tools : PLC programming devices, CNC diagnostic software.

4. Safety & Compliance

  • Electrical Safety : Lockout/Tagout for electrical systems.
  • ESD Protection : Handling sensitive electronic components.
  • Compliance : IEC/ISO standards for electrical maintenance.
  • Lockout & Tagout compliance

  • Machine safety compliance

5. Soft Skills

  • Documentation : Electrical schematics, wiring diagrams.
  • Communication : Coordination with mechanical and production teams.
  • Problem-Solving : Quick fault isolation and repair.

  • Networking Basics : Ethernet/IP for CNC and PLC communication.
  • Reading Electrical Drawings : Control circuits and panel layouts.
  • Computer Skills : PLC programming software, CNC interface tools.
  • Basic knowledge of Mechanical systems, troubleshooting & repairs.
