Relativity is looking for a Director, Financial Systems to lead a financial systems team that will manage and oversee the administration of key financial and business applications to make the finance organization successful. This position will play a critical role in the design and architecture of scalable finance systems to support the Company’s financial data, business processes, automation and growth initiatives. . The role will work closely with the IT organization and other cross-functional teams. The role will also support the effective operation of the Company’s international operations, reporting and compliance.This hybrid role will report to the VP Accounting. Ideal candidates will be based in the Chicago area however, we may consider remote candidates.
Job Description and Requirements
- Lead the design, ownership and maintenance of financial systems, including accounting software, reporting tools, and budgeting platforms.
- Oversee financial system integrations, upgrades, and maintenance to enhance functionality and efficiency.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for financial system operations, data management, and reporting.
- Oversee the accuracy and integrity of financial data in systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of financial processes and requirements to optimize system functionality and integration.
- Focus on end-to-end flow of customer usage data from production environment to customer billing and revenue recognition.
- Drive process improvements to enhance automation, streamline workflows, and accelerate reporting cycles.
- Partner with IT Business Intelligence team in designing, owning, and maintaining data lake for financial data to support advanced reporting needs, ensuring seamless data integration, accuracy, and accessibility for business intelligence and decision-making.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with finance, revenue operations, procurement, global business operations and other teams to understand their needs and align financial systems with overall business objectives.
- Build, develop, and manage a high-performing team responsible for financial systems, data management, and reporting.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and guidance to team members, fostering professional growth and development.
- Exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions.

- Bachelors degree in information systems, accounting, finance or related field or equivalent experience
- 12+ years of related work experience with demonstrated expertise in financial systems management or implementation including 3+ years as a supervisor/leader
- Proficiency in financial software systems (e.g., ERP, CRM) and tools (e.g., SQL, BI tools).
- General understanding of accounting and accounting processes
- Strong project management experience, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adaptable to changing priorities and evolving responsibilities
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, verbal and written communications skills, and strong customer orientation
- Strong managerial skills and the ability to coach and mentor direct reports.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, drive projects to completion and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly to shifting company or team goals.

This position is eligible for total compensation which includes a competitive base salary, an annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives.
The expected salary range for this role is between following values:
$158,000 and $236,000The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top end of the range would not be typical, to allow for future meaningful salary growth in this position.
