The Senior Director, Global Tech Partnerships will serve as a senior strategic leader responsible for defining, scaling, and executing Visa’s most critical partnerships with Global Tech, Crypto and Stablecoin players across CEMEA (Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa). This role will own the partnership strategy end‑to‑end, with a strong focus on accelerating mobile contactless and next‑generation digital payment adoption across diverse and high‑growth markets.

The nitty gritty:
Strategic Leadership & Growth Ownership:
- Define and own Visa’s Global Tech, Crypto and Stablecoin partnership strategy across CEMEA, aligned to regional and global priorities.
- Identify and incubate new business models, platform‑led opportunities, and strategic pilots with Global Tech partners across developed and emerging CEMEA markets.
Executive Partner Management:
- Build and sustain C‑suite and senior executive relationships with Global Tech partners, serving as Visa’s senior point of contact across the region.
- Act as a trusted advisor to partners by deeply understanding their platforms, product roadmaps, commercial objectives, and regulatory constraints.
- Influence partner strategies to embed Visa more deeply across priority use cases, ecosystems, and consumer journeys in CEMEA.
Commercial Excellence & Deal Execution:
- Lead complex, high‑value commercial negotiations, including deal structuring, incentive frameworks, governance models, and long‑term partnership agreements.
- Oversee market expansions across multiple CEMEA sub‑regions, ensuring execution excellence from strategy through scale.
- Drive financial discipline, partnership ROI, and long‑term value creation in close collaboration with finance and regional leadership.
Cross‑Functional & Regional Leadership:
- Orchestrate senior cross‑functional teams across product, technology, legal, risk, finance, regulatory, and marketing to deliver partnership outcomes.
- Serve as a senior voice within Visa on Global Tech, Crypto, Stablecoin, digital ecosystems, and platform strategy across CEMEA.
- Mentor and develop emerging leaders and high‑potential talent within the partnerships organization.
Market Intelligence & Thought Leadership:
- Monitor regulatory developments, competitive dynamics, and technology trends shaping payments across CEMEA.
- Provide forward‑looking insights and recommendations to regional and global leadership to inform strategic decisions
Reporting & Governance:
- Own executive‑level reporting on partnership performance, financial outcomes, strategic milestones, and market impact.
- Track and report KPIs tied to growth, adoption, commercial returns, and strategic priorities.
- Oversee development of dashboards and executive‑ready insights in partnership with analytics teams.
- Communicate complex data and strategy succinctly to senior management, including regional and global leadership forums.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Technology, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
- 12–15+ years of experience in payments, fintech, Global Tech, platform partnerships, product strategy, or business development across multiple geographies.
- Proven senior leadership experience managing complex, multi‑country partnerships across diverse regulatory and market environments.
- Deep understanding of the payment’s ecosystem, mobile wallets, APIs, tokenization, and contactless technologies.
- Strong executive communication skills with the ability to influence C‑suite stakeholders internally and externally.
- Demonstrated success navigating complex negotiations and cross‑functional global organizations.
- Highly analytical, strategic, and data‑driven with comfort operating in ambiguity.
- Experience working within or alongside Big Tech, Crypto, Stablecoin companies at scale.
- Familiarity with CEMEA regulatory landscapes, including emerging‑market considerations.
- Track record of building and leading high‑performing, diverse teams.
- Executive presence with the ability to operate confidently at SVP, EVP, and Board‑level discussions.
