- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience working in a hardware technical environment, or 3 years of experience with an advanced degree.
- 4 years of tech lab program management.
- 3 years of experience working with Linux-based operating systems and devices.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP).
- Experience with device flashing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Network Administration.
- Experience with AR/VR.
The XR Developer Experience and Productivity Infrastructure team is developing infrastructure, tools and processes to build, test, and release Android XR platforms and products. We support developers, partners and stakeholders to deliver on a regular cadence, with maximum velocity and trust.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Manage the lab by defining and implementing a long-term strategy to deliver lab infrastructure and processes for internal and external release workflows.
- Oversee device pools and lab technicians to ensure devices are updated, configured, and available for engineering client teams.
- Provide technical support by assisting with software installations, hardware troubleshooting, and device repairs.
- Maintain documentation by keeping accurate records of lab activities, device information, and procedures.
- Manage stakeholder relationships by collecting requirements, updating the lab roadmap and upgrading the lab as the scope changes and scale increases. Provide lab effectiveness metrics to stakeholders and client teams.
