Autodesk is looking for a Quality Assurance Developer to join our team developing applications for construction users in the field across web, iOS, and Android platforms. This role sits within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) division, where the team defines and builds the software that construction field users rely on every day.

As a member of this team, you will have a significant impact on how we design, validate, and deliver products across web and mobile platforms. This role is primarily focused on hands-on manual QA, including end-to-end testing, exploratory testing, and validation of complex workflows across web and mobile experiences. Experience with test automation is highly valued and considered a strong bonus, particularly for extending coverage and improving efficiency over time.  You will be responsible for ensuring high product quality through thoughtful test planning, execution, and collaboration with development teams, while contributing to automation efforts where appropriate.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform thorough manual testing of complex applications across web, iOS, and Android, including exploratory, functional, regression, and end-to-end testing

    • Design, execute, and maintain detailed test plans and test cases for ongoing feature development

    • Discover, clearly document, and track bugs in complex workflows with a strong focus on user impact and reproducibility

    • Reproduce issues discovered by users and communicate findings and priorities clearly to the Development team

    • Work closely with developers and product partners to create acceptance criteria and validate new features

    • Participate in short sprint cycles (2 weeks) and contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment

    • Investigate test failures (manual or automated) and report issues in the bug tracking system as appropriate

    • Contribute to automated functional and visual tests where applicable, expanding coverage over time

    • Stay current with testing best practices, tools, and methodologies for web and mobile testing

    • Advocate for high quality and a strong user-focused testing mindset

    • Understand user needs and workflows, and test from the user’s perspective

    • Collaborate with multiple teams across time zones to coordinate testing efforts

    • Provide regular updates on testing progress, risks, and quality status to the broader team

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Strong experience in manual QA testing, including black-box and exploratory testing

    • Solid understanding of QA processes, test planning, and defect tracking

    • Experience testing complex interactive applications on web and mobile platforms (iOS and Android)

    • Ability to think critically and test complex workflows with strong user empathy

    • Experience creating and maintaining test plans for ongoing feature development

    • Familiarity with web and mobile accessibility testing, including tools such as screen readers (JAWS, NVDA)

    • Comfortable working in an Agile environment and contributing to team goals

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

    • Keen interest in new technologies and willingness to learn and grow beyond current expertise

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience using Figma

    • Experience with Jenkins or CI/CD pipelines

    • Experience with API testing

    • Experience with performance testing

    • Experience testing complex web or mobile UI frameworks

    • Experience utilizing AI tools to improve daily work efficiency
