DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

Supports the customer-facing sales team by executing clearly defined sales, administrative, and reporting procedures under close supervision. Provides frontline customer support for parts identification, enquiries, and issue resolution while maintaining accurate sales records and assisting with basic sales analytics and system tasks.

Key Responsibilities Customer-Facing Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in identifying the correct parts by understanding their needs, answering technical questions, and explaining product features.
  • Handle product returns, exchanges for defective parts, and customer complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships through excellent service, follow-up, and communication.

Sales & Administrative Duties

  • Work toward achieving assigned sales targets by promoting parts, identifying sales opportunities, and supporting walk-in and repeat customers.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed records of customer interactions, sales transactions, and service requirements.
  • Coordinate effectively with internal teams such as service, warehousing, and head office functions for smooth operations.
  • Stay updated on new parts, product features, promotions, and market trends to support customer enquiries and sales.

Reporting & System Support

  • Run specific recurring sales reports that follow documented procedures and are completed under supervision.
  • Gather sales and customer data using prescribed templates to support forecasting and consolidation activities.
  • Perform repetitive, well-defined system tasks on tools such as Salesforce, WWSPS, BMS, and the Cummins Portal.
  • Support review and verification of system-entered data through clearly defined processes.
  • Conduct basic, repetitive internal and external analyses (variances, projections, costing, bundling, competitor data) under supervision.
  • Support secondary research activities for identifying customer or market opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Education, Licenses & Certifications

  • High school diploma, secondary education certificate, or equivalent experience meeting regulatory requirements.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export control or sanctions regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to understand customer needs and recommend correct parts.
  • Knowledge of motor parts and the automotive or industrial parts industry (preferred).
  • Fluency in Hindi is required; additional local languages are an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of sales processes, order management, and inventory coordination.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and follow structured administrative procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain customer relationships.

Experience

  • Minimal to no prior work experience required; however, experience in motor parts sales, customer-facing roles, or B2B sales is preferred.
