Job Description

Your role:

The Chief of Staff / PMO acts as a strategic partner to the VP and Executive Committee of AbbVie Brazil, ensuring alignment between strategy, operational execution, and governance. This role leads and implements strategic projects, supports decision-making, and coordinates initiatives that advance AbbVie’s ambitions in Brazil. The Chief of Staff maintains strong interfaces with the Intercon structure and global stakeholders. This position reports directly to the Director of Customer Excellence, with a dotted line to the VP of the affiliate.

You will be responsible for:

  • Strategic Support to the VP: Serve as the right hand to the VP, structuring priorities and critical agendas. Translate global and regional guidelines into local plans, with clear KPIs, milestones, and monitoring. Prepare and consolidate materials for the Executive Committee, Steering Committees, and global/regional reviews (IBP, LRP, MBR, QBR, etc.).
  • Strategic Project Management (Enterprise PMO): Lead and coordinate cross-functional strategic projects, including partnerships with stakeholders, transformations, digitalization, Customer Excellence initiatives, cultural change, post-M&A integrations, and more. Manage scope, timeline, risks, dependencies, and budget, using methodologies such as PMO, hybrid Agile, and Stage-Gate. Support LRP and annual planning in collaboration with functional areas.
  • Governance, Performance and Decision-Making: Structure governance forums (executive committees, project reviews, etc.), maintaining decision logs and follow-ups. Monitor and communicate key indicators (KPIs, OKRs, priority initiatives), reporting progress to the VP and Intercon. Propose mitigation plans for risks, bottlenecks, and misalignments.
  • Intercon, Global and Stakeholder Interface: Act as the focal point between the affiliate, Intercon, and global headquarters, ensuring alignment of narratives and execution of corporate priorities. Oversee execution of ad hoc requests, audits, compliance reviews, and global/regional projects.
  • Executive Communication & Stakeholder Management: Develop clear executive communications for local, regional, and global leadership. Facilitate alignment between areas, supporting conflict resolution and critical decision-making.
  • Culture, Organizational Efficiency & Continuous Improvement: Support process improvement, simplification, and efficiency initiatives. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and results focus (All for One AbbVie). Lead the Employee Experience agenda (surveys, action plans, etc.) in partnership with HR.
  • Awards and Recognition: Coordinate submissions and execution of corporate awards (e.g., Numero Uno, President Awards, All Stars).
  • Events and Forums: Plan, organize, and execute strategic internal and external events/meetings (logistics, agenda, communication, governance).
