Skills and Competencies

  • 3–5 years’ business experience, preferably in client relationship management, sales, business development or accounting/finance capacity
  • Solid understanding of financial markets and capital markets preferred
  • Excellent verbal communication style and strong writing skills
  • Self-starter with strong time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines for multiple projects
  • Ability to be proactive and exercise initiative
  • Strong experience using MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel with willingness to embrace AI tools such as Copilot
  • Experience with CRM platforms, including Salesforce is a plus
  • Position requires approximately 20% US & Canada travel

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in related fields such as Economics, Finance, Marketing, or Accounting

 

Responsibilities
Serve as the commercial liaison for Project & Infrastructure Finance sector, recommending rating products and services while maintaining best-in-class customer service

 

  • Assist in the delivery of a strategic development plan to grow business & relationships with project finance issuers & intermediaries (financial advisors & investors) in the US and Canada 
  • Manage the rating application process including sending, receiving and tracking applications with extensive follow-up
  • Participate in issuer calls and visits to strengthen relationships, negotiate fees for less complex arrangements and demonstrate Moody’s value proposition
  • Prepare for issuer interactions by sourcing and compiling relevant information
  • Attend external & internal conferences, briefings and events to develop key relationships
  • Assist with monitoring market & customer activities to identify & assess new business opportunities
  • Adhere to compliance separation protocols while working with internal teams such as Legal, Ratings and Research Analysts, and Middle Office
  • Generate documentation to support pricing approvals and exceptions, advise issuers of annual fee revisions and collect customer feedback
  • Provide management with regular updates on pending transactions and key metrics
  • Develop relationships with internal stakeholders (including larger Commercial team & Analytical team)
  • Lead and contribute to ongoing and ad hoc projects using creative problem-solving skills and benefiting from flexible hybrid work arrangements

 

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $112,000.00-$162,400.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
