Marketing Automation & Marketo Specialist
We’re looking for a hands-on Marketo specialist to help us deliver and improve B2B marketing campaigns to our 38,000+ demand partners. If you enjoy executing campaigns in Marketo, solving problems, and making processes smoother for everyone around you, this role is for you.
You’ll sit in the B2B Partner Marketing team at Expedia Group, working closely with marketers and stakeholders across regions to build, launch, and optimise best-in-class campaigns.
What you’ll do
Marketo campaign execution (core of the role)
Own day-to-day Marketo execution for B2B campaigns: build emails, smart lists, programs, journeys, and QA end-to-end.
Work tickets from Jira: pick up requests, clarify requirements, scope the work, and deliver accurate Marketo solutions on time.
Support campaign set up across channels (primarily email, plus landing pages and forms), ensuring everything is built, tested, and launched correctly.
Troubleshoot and fix issues (e.g. smart list logic, Marketo–Salesforce sync, broken assets or tokens, tracking) and clearly communicate what you’ve done.
Document what you build so that campaign owners and other stakeholders can easily understand and reuse your solutions.
Campaign & process optimisation
Use data and reporting to identify what’s working, what’s not, and where we can improve performance.
Plan and run tests (layout, frequency, audience, subject lines, content, etc.) to drive continuous improvement of email and landing page performance.
Collaborate with workstream leads to improve workflows and processes (briefs, templates, QA steps, ticket routing) so we can scale efficiently.
Help maintain and improve our Marketo structure and governance (naming conventions, templates, documentation). · Support with content editing/creating e.g. emails, landing pages and videos
Collaboration & stakeholder management
Partner closely with marketers, sales, and operations to understand campaign goals and translate them into robust Marketo builds.
Communicate clearly on requirements, timelines, risks, and results so stakeholders feel supported and informed.
Bring a people-first mindset – you’re happy to jump in, share knowledge, and help others get the best from Marketo.
Who you are
These are essential for the role:
2+ years of hands-on Marketo experience, directly executing B2B marketing campaigns.
Strong working knowledge of Marketo: building programs, emails, smart lists, scoring, nurturing, and QA.
Practical experience using Salesforce alongside Marketo (e.g. understanding objects, fields, and how data flows between systems).
Proven ability to pick up and deliver tickets from a system like Jira, managing your own queue, priorities, and timelines.
Comfortable working with data and segmentation (filters, smart lists, audiences) to target and personalise campaigns.
Solid communication skills – you can explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and write clear documentation.
A process-minded, proactive problem solver who enjoys spotting inefficiencies and suggesting better ways of working.
A collaborative approach – you work well with people, build trust, and handle feedback constructively.
Comfortable working in a highly-matrixed, fast paced environment.
Nice to have (great, but not required)

Experience with content and copywriting for email, landing pages, or other partner-facing assets such as video content.
Familiarity with design tools such as Canva/Knak for simple asset creation or adaptation.
Exposure to data modelling, database design, and advanced segmentation.
Familiarity with SQL.
Marketo Certified Expert or similar certification.
Project management experience or certification.
An AI-native mindset – using AI tools to speed up production, testing, or analysis.
