Job Purpose
Responsible for understanding the current production inventory and developing production schedules that align with the demand placed upon the plant. Creates and maintains current and forecast plans on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. Coordinates with corporate demand planner, customer service representative(s), and plant production personnel to ensure accurate production cycles are established and communicated in a timely manner. Monitors inventory levels and finishing schedules to ensure production have necessary parts to meet customer ship dates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials within or between departments.
- Plan and schedule the production floor for all shifts as assigned.
- Ensure daily production schedules are developed and communicated that meet customer/Sales expectation.
- Daily verification of production reported by production and inventory control staff.
- Reviews available inventory and adjusts schedules to prevent over/under production
- Escalates issues as necessary to ensure that actual production meets the expected throughput to minimize scrap and fulfill production plans.
- Analyze usage requirements to ensure the minimization of work in process (WIP).
- Works closely with plant buyer and department supervisors to ensure production has the needed components necessary for flow of production.

- Assist with the development and implementation of the master schedule from the sales backlog, forecast, and historical data.
- Assist with the preparation for the monthly KPI and business unit forecast precision roundtable meetings.
- Engage in process improvement projects with interfacing departments to ensure continual process improvements.
- Assist with driving plant efficiencies and to achieve plant-wide objectives
Qualifications

- Proficient Microsoft Excel user (formulas, pivot tables, graphing, and basic logical formulas)
- Proficient knowledge with MRP/ERP systems, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment working within scheduling and/or supply chain functions, or as a production leader
- Associates degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or related field and/or equivalent experience is a plus
- Experience leading meetings
- Excellent problem solving and analytic skills-ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts that arise
- Great attention to details
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously
