DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Global Health, Safety and Environment Sr Project Manager to join our On-site team specializing in Health and Safety for our Cummins location York, SC.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:  

  • Project Leadership: Ability to lead multiple cross-functional projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Planning and Organization: Skill in facilitating project planning sessions, defining scope and objectives, designing project plans, developing timelines, and tracking milestones against performance goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Capacity to collaborate with business and functional leaders to establish measurable outcomes and maintain clear communication with sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Issue Resolution: Competence in identifying, tracking, and resolving project issues by working collaboratively across teams.
  • Financial Management: Proficiency in planning and monitoring project budgets, providing input into timelines, and ensuring financial accountability.
  • Risk and Change Management: Expertise in using quality tools to identify risks, implementing solutions, and applying motivational techniques to manage organizational change.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Commitment to documenting and sharing team learnings, leveraging cross-functional and external resources to enhance project success.
  • Team Development : Strong ability to assign resources effectively, coach team members and other Project Managers, provide developmental feedback, and guide teams through project stages.
  • Continuous Learning: Dedication to staying current with research and best practices in the field to ensure innovative and effective project management approaches.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

College, university, or equivalent degree required.

Experience:

Significant level of relevant work experience, including team leadership experience, required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Leads global risk reduction programs for CDBS Business and serves as the subject matter expert. 
  • Collaborates with multiple sites to improve culture, reduce risk and implement sustainable solutions to HSE problems; provides hands-on support. 
  • Coaches and trains site staff in culture, hazard recognition and risk reduction. 
  • A degree or certification in an HSE discipline is required. 
  • Certifications in leadership, training, ergonomics, or electrical safety are preferred.  
  • This is an On-site position.

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
